The National Commission for Self Help Limited We are a nonprofit entity mandated to assist with the alleviation of poverty in Trinidad and Tobago. Old Age Pensioners
3. Fire Victims
4. Flood Victims

The assistance the Commission provides focuses on individuals who are a part of the following categories:-

1. Families who are affected by natural disasters such as windstorms, earthquakes, landslides etc.
2. Socially Displaced Persons
6. Destitute Families

The Commission offers three (3) grants to assist citizens, these are:-

1. The Minor Repairs and Reconstruction Grant (MRRG) - Valued up to

$15,000.00 TTD
2. Emergency Repairs Reconstruction Assistance Grant (ERRAG) - Valued up to $25,000.00 TTD
3. Development Project (DP) - In this instance, the value granted is determined on a case by case basis along with the Board of Directors approval. The assistance provided by the Commission, given on a matching basis, provides the construction materials while the individual or community supplies the labour.

The National Commission for Self-Help (NCSHL) is currently participating in the St. Augustine Constituency Community Outreach Programme, hosted by the Member of Parliament for St. Augustine, the Hon. Kadijah Ameen, at the Tunapuna Community Centre.

Our team is on site providing information on the grants and services offered by the NCSHL, while also assisting members of the public with status updates on existing applications.

We encourage residents to visit our booth, learn more about the opportunities available, and connect directly with our officers.
