On 30 October, in partnership with the Judicial Education Institute of Trinidad and Tobago (JEITT) Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 we hosted the 🇬🇧 UK-funded workshop titled "Climate Change: A Sensitisation Session for Judges and Judicial Officers” .
The first-of-a-kind workshop was aimed at building judicial capacity to respond to the legal challenges posed by climate change. The training brought together some forty (40) local and regional judges and judicial officers, who gained a deeper understanding of the science, policy implications, and legal frameworks that govern climate change.
