The National Advisory Committee on Constitutional Reform (NACCR) is pleased to advise that having delivered its Report to the Honourable Prime Minister on Friday August 2nd, 2024, the Report was presented to Cabinet on Thursday August 8th, 2024. Cabinet has agreed that the Report should be made public and that the NACCR be requested to engage the public on the contents of the Report leading up to the Conference now carded for November 2024.
The Committee has accepted the task of disseminating the Report and engaging the public on the recommendations made therein for constitutional reform. The recommendations will inform the agenda of the proposed Conference.
Accordingly, the NACCR wishes to advise that its Report may be accessed on the Committeeโs website, www.constitutionalreform2024.gov.tt.
The Committee will be rolling out several initiatives via traditional and social media to educate the public, including those located in the diaspora, on the current Constitution as well as the recommendations for reform advanced in its Report. The Committee intends to hold webinars in conjunction with interested local and international organizations on various aspects of the Report. The public and media are advised to monitor the NACCRโs website and our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for upcoming events as the Committee seeks to progress dissemination and engagement over the next few months.

We are convinced, that if pursued with open minds and hearts, constitutional reform can transform our institutions, our governance, and ultimately, transform our society for the better.
