Continuing our public education mandate, we remain dedicated to shaping a culture where integrity is understood, valued, and practiced, starting with our nation’s youth.
Today’s engagement at Naparima Girls’ High School, created a space for meaningful dialogue, where students were encouraged to reflect on their choices, their values, and the role they play in building a fair and accountable society. Through interactive discussions and thought-provoking activities, they explored how integrity is not just an abstract concept, but a daily commitment shown in the decisions they make, even when no one is watching.

These conversations are critical because the future of our country depends on a generation that not only recognizes the importance of honesty and accountability but is also empowered to live it out boldly.
As we continue this journey across schools and communities, our message remains clear: integrity begins with each of us. And together, through education and awareness, we can inspire lasting change.

Here is what Miss Scarlet had to say….

Today’s outreach session took us to Sangre Grande Secondary School, where students of forms 3- 5, engaged in a dynamic conversation on the value of integrity and the role young people play in shaping a fair and accountable society.

Through interactive discussions and activities, students explored how everyday choices both big and small can influence their schools, communities, and ultimately the nation. Their participation, honesty, and thoughtful perspectives reminded us that integrity begins with each of us.

We thank the administration, teachers, and students for welcoming the Commission and for actively contributing to a meaningful dialogue on ethics, accountability, and responsible leadership.

Today, the Integrity Commission of Trinidad and Tobago was pleased to host students from the Hugh Wooding Law School Criminal Law Clinic for an engaging visit focused on integrity, accountability, and the role of oversight institutions in public life.

Chairman Mr. Hadyn Gittens welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of ethical leadership in strengthening public trust. The visit also featured presentations from the Commission’s Public Education, Compliance, and Investigations Units, providing insight into the Commission’s work under the Integrity in Public Life Act.

Deputy Registrar Mr. Abuzarr Ali delivered the closing remarks, encouraging the students, as future attorneys and leaders within the legal fraternity, to recognise the important role they will play in upholding the rule of law. He reminded them that ethical conduct must remain central to public service and urged them to carry forward the principles of integrity, accountability and fairness throughout their professional journeys.

We thank the students for their thoughtful engagement and interest in promoting integrity in public life.

Integrity in action at Presentation College San Fernando

Yesterday, our first Integrity IRL Roving Caravan made a powerful stop in San Fernando, bringing real conversations, relatable scenarios, and practical lessons on ethics, accountability, and responsible leadership directly to students.

From interactive activities to thought-provoking discussions, the energy was high and the message was clear: integrity isn’t just a concept, it’s a daily choice.

Thank you to the form 3 students and staff of Presentation College for the warm welcome and active participation. The caravan has officially begun… and we’re just getting started.

On February 19th, 2026, the Integrity Commission of Trinidad and Tobago conducted a “Know Your Form” education session with the Board of the National Library and Information Authority (NALIS).

The session was spearheaded by Director of Compliance, Mr. Christopher Ramsey, and Assistant Compliance Analyst, Mrs. Kinika Alleyne. Their facilitation concentrated on strengthening statutory reporting accuracy and reinforcing the standards prescribed under the Integrity in Public Life Act.

Strategically, these targeted engagements form a critical component of the Commission’s preventative compliance framework. They advance the Commission’s constitutional mandate by:
• Clarifying disclosure obligations and prescribed filing
requirements.
• Promoting timely, accurate, and complete declarations.
• Mitigating compliance risks through direct technical guidance.
• Embedding a culture of transparency and ethical accountability at the board level.

Through proactive education of persons in public life, the Commission continues to strengthen governance architecture, reduce exposure to statutory breaches, and enhance public confidence in the stewardship of State institutions.
