The discussions explored Amazon’s interest in supporting the work of the Ministry’s Community Recovery Unit, particularly initiatives such as LeadHERship, Trailblazers and other opportunities, through upskilling, e-commerce and employability opportunities.

The engagement also examined how strategic collaboration can help create stronger pathways from community-based programmes to the world of work, while contributing to the wider goal of preparing Trinidad and Tobago and its people for the future.

As we come close to the end of the LeadHerShip Legacy Initiative, 📸 check out some photo highlights from one of their last activities together, the LLI Fieldtrip to the Lopinot Historical Complex.

🍫All cohorts were present on Monday 17th August, 2026 for the exciting day of learning and exploration. The ladies had the opportunity to explore the Marvin Gomez Caves and the Lopinot House, to learn the traditional process of making chocolate and other cocoa products, and of course got to dance the cocoa!

This field trip was more than a fun day, but it also imparted knowledge of our culture and heritage to the participants of the LLI Programme. The MCCD remains committed to blending cultural education within its community development programmes to give our participants a holistic experience.
