The Personnel Department successfully hosted its 4th Annual Children’s Vacation Camp! 🎉

Over three exciting days, our young campers enjoyed a wonderful blend of fun, learning, creativity and adventure, creating meaningful memories along the way. 💖

From educational experiences to exciting new adventures, our campers had the opportunity to:

🏦 Explore the world of finance during an educational visit to the Central Bank Money Museum

✈️ Discover more about aviation and national service during an exciting visit to the Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard Base

🥽 Step into a world of virtual adventure at SBCS VR World

🎵 Explore their creativity and discover new talents through engaging music lessons

🎯 Enjoy a fun filled Games Day, complete with exciting activities, laughter and friendly competition

Beyond the activities, the camp provided our children with opportunities to learn, explore, build friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our 4th Annual Children’s Vacation Camp another successful and memorable experience.

Here’s to more adventures, more learning and many more unforgettable memories ahead! 💖

Through this important function, the Department helps to ensure that matters affecting the remuneration and conditions of service of established public officers are addressed through meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

✨ Building Stronger Performance Management Practices ✨

Recently, the Personnel Department had the opportunity to facilitate Performance Management Appraisal training for officers and professionals from the Office of the Prime Minister.

The sessions encouraged meaningful discussions on setting performance expectations, measuring results, providing constructive feedback and conducting effective appraisals, all of which are key elements of a strong performance management system.

We remain committed to supporting Ministries, Departments and Agencies by delivering learning opportunities that enhance performance, promote accountability and contribute to a high performing Public Service.

Dr Eric Williams, the first Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, also served as the country's first Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) from 1966 to 1967.

While serving as Prime Minister, Dr Eric Williams also held the role of Chief Personnel Officer, contributing to the development of the Public Service and helping to lay the foundation for personnel management in Trinidad and Tobago.
