Last week, the Personnel Department proudly hosted its annual Health Week under the theme “Healthy Choices, Healthy Future.” This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing, and overall quality of life of our staff.

Throughout the week, employees participated in a variety of activities designed to encourage healthier lifestyles and foster workplace wellness. Activities included dance and exercise sessions, relaxing massages, health screenings, outdoor games, and informative health lectures covering key wellness topics.

Health Week serves as an important reminder that the choices we make today can have a lasting impact on our future wellbeing. By creating opportunities for staff to learn, engage, and prioritize their health, we continue to support a healthier, more productive workforce.

Thank you to all participants, facilitators, and partners who contributed to making this year’s Health Week a success. Together, we are building a healthier future, one choice at a time.

We proudly celebrate the 181 Anniversary of the arrival of the Indian community to Trinidad and Tobago — a moment that forever shaped the cultural, social and economic fabric of our nation.

We honour the resilience, strength and enduring legacy of the indentured labourers who journeyed across oceans and laid the foundation for generations to come. Their traditions, values and contributions continue to enrich our society in countless ways.

As we reflect on this historic milestone, let us recommit to unity, respect and appreciation for the diversity that makes Trinidad and Tobago truly unique.

Happy Indian Arrival Day! 🇹🇹

Recapping last week’s activities✨

From May 19th to 21st, 2026, our team facilitated training sessions for officers and professionals from the Ministry of Defence on Performance Management Appraisals.

The sessions provided practical guidance on the appraisal process, performance standards, goal setting, and effective evaluation practices aimed at supporting professional growth and accountability.

The Personnel Department remains committed to building capacity across MDAs by equipping officers with the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen performance management practices and support excellence within the Public Service.
