More from yesterday’s China-Caribbean Urban Development and Transformation Forum

Minister of Housing, Dr. the Honourable David A. Lee, reminded participants that while innovation and infrastructure are critical to urban transformation, people must remain at the heart of development.

“Ultimately, urban development is not about concrete, steel and buildings. It is about people.

It is about creating places where a child can grow up safely, where a family can access a decent and affordable home, where an entrepreneur can build a livelihood, and where communities can face the future with confidence.”

— Dr. the Honourable David A. Lee, Minister of Housing
