As we welcome 2026, I begin with a heartfelt thank you. Thank you for your strength, your patience, your resilience, and your unwavering love for this constituency we proudly call home. Because home is where the heart is, and my heart belongs to Naparima.
Naparima is not just a place on a map.
Naparima is about people.
Naparima is about family.
Naparima is about community.
The past year reminded us of a powerful truth: when times get hard, we are strongest when we stand together. Strength does not come from one person alone, it comes from brotherhood and sisterhood, from neighbours looking out for neighbours, and from communities lifting one another up.
In Naparima, we do not turn our backs on each other. We hold each other up.
As your Member of Parliament, I see this spirit every single day, in our young people who continue to dream despite the challenges, in our elders who guide us with wisdom and sacrifice, and in our health workers, teachers, farmers, small business owners, and volunteers who serve quietly and faithfully.
2026 must be a year of hope, hope grounded in action, backed by commitment, and reaching every household, every village, and every family across Naparima.
Above all, 2026 must be a year of togetherness.
Together, we will build Naparima.
Together, we will solve problems.
Together, we will restore confidence and pride in our communities.
No one left behind. No voice ignored.
Let us move forward with unity in our hearts, courage in our actions, and faith in one another. Let us speak with respect, work in good faith, and remember that our greatest strength has always been our people.
To every family across Naparima, I wish you peace, good health, prosperity, and renewed hope in this new year.
May 2026 be a year where brotherhood and sisterhood grow stronger, our communities grow closer, and Naparima continues to shine with resilience, compassion, and opportunity.
Happy New Year, Naparima, and our beautiful twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Let us build it together.
God bless our nation.
