Let’s keep our streets safe, clean, and beautiful! 🚗✨

Abandoned and derelict vehicles aren’t just an eyesore, they attract pests, obstruct roads, and take up valuable space in our neighborhoods. The San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation is actively removing derelict vehicles from roads and public places.

Know the Law: Failure to comply with a notice to remove a derelict vehicle within 24 hours can result in a fine of TT$4,000, plus TT$800 for every day the failure continues after conviction (Litter Act, Chap. 30:52, Section 9).

Empowering our community through care and compassion! 💙

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Cascadia Hotel, we celebrated the graduation of the Elderly Care Cohort 2026! 🎉 Proper training in elderly and vulnerable care safeguards dignity, improves quality of life, and ensures our seniors receive the compassionate, high-standard attention they deserve.

Congratulations to the graduates for their hard work and dedication to uplifting our elders and strengthening our community.

Special congratulations to Councillor Sherwyn Jones for collaborating with the Harmony Nursing Academy to bring this vital initiative to life. Heartfelt thanks to the Academy for its unwavering dedication to excellence, and to the Cascadia Hotel for hosting this wonderful event. To the graduates: thank you for stepping up to serve! 🫶🏽

🏉 COMMUNITY & RECREATION | PRESIDENT’S GROUNDS

It was a pleasure to host the Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Union (TTRU) at President’s Grounds, St. Ann’s, for their rugby fixtures and training sessions.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, we were pleased to attend the exciting match between Royalians and Caribs as part of the TTRU’s 2026 Rugby Fixtures.

President’s Grounds is one of the many recreational spaces within the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation, providing a valuable venue for sporting activities, community engagement, and the development of local talent.

We remain committed to supporting the use of our recreational spaces and promoting sport and healthy community activities across the region. 🏉🌿
