IRP Fire and Safety Ltd., in partnership with MSA Safety, continues to support the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, the nation’s first responders, through technical briefings on the latest firefighting safety equipment and advancements in technology.

MSAsafety Yanira Frontana, the Latin America Marketing Manager for Fire Segment Products, visited Trinidad to lead discussions with IRP and TTFS personnel at the IRP Training Campus. Senior fire officers responsible for training, SCBA and equipment maintenance and care, and other operational duties exchanged insights and feedback on the latest firefighter PPE, including structural turnout gear, helmets, boots, hoods, and gloves meeting the updated NFPA 1970 standard as well as EN 469-compliant European options. At IRP and MSA, we are committed to ensuring first responders remain equipped and informed about the most recent advances in firefighting protective technology and safety. A week of meaningful conversations, new connections, and shared experiences.

From May 17–23, the IRP team had the opportunity to attend the Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) Conference in the Dominican Republic alongside fire service leaders, emergency responders, and safety professionals from across the region.

Thank you to the CAFC for bringing together so many passionate professionals. We return with new ideas, valuable insights, and a renewed appreciation for the people who dedicate their careers to protecting others.
