This Thursday on the Tobago Legislative Series, we move the conversation beyond one group of operators and into the wider question facing all of Tobago:
Beyond the Reef Boats: The Tobago Marine Parks Bill and the Future of Tourism, Beaches, Justice, and the Peopleโs Sea
This is not a conversation against conservation. It is a conversation against bad law.
Tobago needs marine protection that protects our reefs, our livelihoods, our tourism industry, our small businesses, our beach access, and our democratic rights. A good Marine Parks law must support environmental protection while also providing fairness, transparency, independent appeals, stakeholder participation, and real opportunities for Tobagonians to grow within the blue economy.
This Bill affects more than reef boat operators. It can affect fishers, tour operators, divers, beach users, event promoters, coastal communities, small businesses, and ordinary Tobagonians who have always had a relationship with the sea.
Join us for a serious and necessary discussion.
