Today, I extend sincere congratulations to Mrs. Shamfa Cudjoe-Lewis, our Political Leader-elect, and to all the candidates who were successful, including the members of Team Unity. I thank every member who participated in this process and everyone who supported me along this journey. Throughout this election, I remained humble, transparent, and respectful, and that is who I am and who I will always be. Whether in public life or private affairs, my character does not change. For me, this was never simply about winning; it was about service, engagement, and strengthening the People’s National Movement.

As we move forward, my commitment to the PNM remains unchanged. More than that, Tobago remains my ultimate priority. I will play my part in keeping this current administration in check, while continuing to contribute meaningfully to the development of both the party and Tobago. My commitment to the people of Tobago does not end tonight; it continues with purpose, responsibility, and resolve.

I thank you again for your trust, your confidence, and your support. It is my hope that as a party, we now move to implement the ideas and commitments discussed to strengthen and renew the PNM. I wish the new executive every success. May God bless and keep us, guide our efforts, and grant us the wisdom to serve our people with unity, integrity, and purpose.

Since I was a little boy, I have always believed in the power of love and the quiet strength of peace. Today, more than ever, I choose both. I choose to rise above the noise, to stay grounded in purpose, and to focus on what truly matters, unity. I believe in a PNM that is one family, caring, compassionate, and committed to every single member, no matter your background, your age, or where you come from in Tobago. A PNM that listens, that embraces, that stands together. I am here to lead with love, to serve with humility, and to help build a movement where everyone feels seen, valued, and included. I choose peace, because that is how we move forward, together.
