The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Labour and Trade Hon. Paulson Panapa handed over 3 of 8 vehicles to the Lands and Survey Department, Department of Aviation and Department of Energy. The vehicles will assist the relevant departments in their technical and field operations.

The vehicles were funded under the Korean Special Grant Assistance and the Ministry is immensely grateful to the Embassy of Korea in Fiji for its continuous assistance and support.

The Hon Simon Kofe MP and Special Envoy for the Future Now Project has updated the world on Tuvalu’s progress towards digital nationhood. The following address was broadcasted this week at CoP28 by Island Innovation. In the video address, Hon Kofe delved into Tuvalu’s proactive measures against climate change through digital innovation and preservation of statehood. The message also highlighted the importance of Tuvaluan values of kaitasi (shared responsibility), falepili (good neighbor), aava (respect), and alofa (love and genuine care) in addressing the climate crisis. It is a story of resilience, innovation and hope in the face of climate adversity.
