新竹市警察局，座落於本市中山路1號，日據時期為新竹警察署，建於民國9年。民國19年1月20日，新竹實施市制，設新竹市警察署，分掌新竹市警務；台灣光復（民國34年）後翌年，新竹設省轄市，市設新竹市警察局。民國39年10月，全省行政區域重新規劃，新竹縣警察局遷至新竹市。
新竹市政府於民國71年7月1日升格省轄市，新竹縣、新竹市政府同時分治，新竹縣、新竹市警察局仍合署辦公，施至民國78年奉准成立新竹市警察局於現址，警察局下設有3個分局；分局下設15個派出所。
