To help the foreigners adapt to the living environment, Hsinchu City Government established the first Foreigner Assistance Center in Taiwan on December 24th, 2008, providing both English and Chinese services, friendly attitude, and ac

The Foreigner Assistance Center provides services including free Mandarin lessons (signup form download), on-request monthly English e-newsletter, and help desk service. The help desk provides information on tourism, business investments, residence, living, medicine, transportation, and civil services. 新竹市因科學園區及生活機能完善，吸引許多外籍人士居留，為加強外籍人士生活服務，本府於97年12月24日率先各縣市成立國內第一個外國人協助中心，秉持服務導向提供外籍人士在地生活需求之協助，並以友善的雙語環境奠基，親切態度、主動的服務，積極營造國際化友善環境，促進城市競爭力。
服務項目：
提供外籍人士觀光旅遊、經商投資、居留、居住、醫療資訊、交通資訊、便民服務、文化教育等諮詢服務、華語教學(教學服務人員報名表下載)、協助中心臉書族群等。
