南台南家扶中心成立於民國五十五年四月，主要在於關懷協助因家庭遭遇變故致經濟發生困難的貧困兒童及其家庭，使其能及時獲得經濟、健康、醫療、社會教育與心理輔導等多方面的扶助與服務，並以啟發個人的潛能，而重建弱勢家庭之功能。發展至今，更因應社會變遷，滿足社會需求，而提供台南市永華行政區多元化的兒童少年福利服務，期使增進弱勢家庭之功能提昇。
