The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) was pleased to engage in a productive dialogue with Mr. Raymond F. Greene, Director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and members of his team on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

The discussions covered a range of issues of importance to small island developing states (SIDS), including sustainable development, economic resilience, and the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving global geopolitical landscape. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on areas of mutual interest and explore possibilities for future cooperation.

Particular attention was given to potential collaboration in education, healthcare, disaster and crisis preparedness, and other initiatives aimed at supporting development and improving the well-being of the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The meeting provided an opportunity to share the government's development priorities and vision for the future, while also benefiting from the experiences and perspectives of the AIT team. The exchange reaffirmed the importance of open dialogue, partnership, and cooperation in advancing peace, stability, resilience, and sustainable development.

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines extend its sincere appreciation to Director Greene and his team for their warm hospitality and cordial engagement and looks forward to building upon this dialogue through continued cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Visiting Vincies call on Ambassador Chance

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) was pleased to receive a courtesy call on 10 June 2026 from Danielle Lewis, a Vincentian student in Taiwan and some of her visiting relatives.

Ms Lewis, along with her mother, Susanne Lewis, aunt Marcia Lewis and uncle Kenville John, called on H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance.

Danielle Lewis will graduate from the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences on Saturday, 13 June 2026, with a Master of Science in Nursing.

Ambassador Chance welcomed the group to Taiwan and to the Embassy and thanked them for the courtesy visit.

He said that as the only Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Asia, the Embassy in Taipei is a source of support to all Vincentians in the region who might need its services.

Ambassador Chance also told the visiting Vincentians that all nationals are welcome to call on the Embassy whenever they are in Taiwan.

Ambassador Chance commended Danielle Lewis on completing her studies and reaffirmed that the Embassy will be represented at her graduation ceremony.

Minister Counsellor Dr. Elroy Wilson also welcomed the group to the Embassy and congratulated Danielle Lewis on the completion of her studies.

The Ambassador and Minister Counsellor treated the group to a tour of the Embassy, then presented each member with a gift bag that the Embassy offers to its visitors.

The Embassy wishes the visiting Vincentians all the best during their stay in Taiwan and safe onward travels.

聖文森及格瑞那丁駐中華民國（臺灣）大使館於2026年6月10日欣然接待來自聖文森的在臺學生陸丹妮及其來臺探訪的親屬禮節性拜會。

陸丹妮女士在母親 Susanne Lewis、阿姨 Marcia Lewis 及舅舅 Kenville John 的陪同下，拜會了聖文森及格瑞那丁駐臺姜康特大使。

陸丹妮女士將於2026年6月13日（星期六）自國立臺北護理健康大學取得國際護理碩士學位。

姜康特大使對一行人的到訪表示歡迎，並感謝他們專程前來拜會。他表示，作為聖文森及格瑞那丁在亞洲唯一的大使館，臺北大使館是區內所有有需要的聖文森國民的重要支援來源，隨時願意提供協助與服務。

姜康特大使亦向來訪的聖文森國民表示，凡是在臺灣的聖文森國民，無論何時來訪，大使館都竭誠歡迎。

姜康特大使讚揚陸丹妮女士順利完成學業，並再次確認大使館將派員出席她的畢業典禮。

On June 10, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance paid a courtesy call on H.E. David Adams Orrukem, Head of Mission of the Republic of Palau to the Republic of China (Taiwan).

The meeting provided an opportunity for a meaningful exchange on the importance of diplomacy and the enduring value of strong bilateral relations with Taiwan. Discussions emphasised the role of diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding, advancing national interests, and strengthening cooperation among like-minded partners.

Drawing on his many years of diplomatic service, Head of Mission Orrukem shared valuable insights and experiences gained throughout his distinguished career. He reflected on the evolving nature of diplomacy, the importance of relationship-building, and the qualities required to represent effectively and advance the interests of one's country on the international stage.

The engagement also highlighted the shared commitment of Palau and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to maintaining strong and productive relations with Taiwan, while continuing to support cooperation and dialogue among Taiwan’s diplomatic allies.

The meeting concluded with both diplomats reaffirming the importance of continued engagement and collaboration to advance common interests and strengthen the bonds of friendship between their respective nations.

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulates Jeva Alfred on the completion of a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Diplomacy at Ming Chuan University International College.

Ms Alfred was awarded the Outstanding Academic Award at her graduation on June 6, 2026 and made the Dean’s List five times during her studies.

She described her academic journey as one of “growth, resilience, and self-discovery” amidst the challenges of a new culture, language, and academic environment.

Mrs. Symantha Chance, wife of Ambassador H.E. Kenton X. Chance, represented the ambassador at Ms Alfred’s graduation and conveyed the ambassador’s personal congratulations.

Basketballer Shamore Charles has proven that once given an assist, he will convert.
Mr. Charles graduated from Ming Chuan University International College on June 6, 2026, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Diplomacy.

However, unlike most other Vincentian scholarship recipients who graduated on that day, his scholarship was negotiated by a Taiwan-based Vincentian basketball coach, Craiglee Sam, in a classic case of paying it forward.

In 2009, Craiglee Sam and Cregg Friday, of Bequia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, became the first international students to get basketball scholarships from Ming Chuan University. They both graduated four years later with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Tourism and Travel.

Mr. Sam, who remained in Taiwan, where he is a basketball coach, secured a basketball scholarship for Mr. Charles, who graduated on Saturday.

Mrs. Symantha Chance, wife of H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance, represented the ambassador at Mr. Charles’ graduation and conveyed the ambassador’s personal congratulations.

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China congratulates Mr. Charles on his slam dunk finish and wishes him all the best in his future.

We also commend Mr. Sam for the great assist, which helped Charles to register his name on the scoreboard of university graduates from their home island, Bequia.

籃球員Shamore Charles再次證明，只要獲得一次漂亮的助攻，他就能成功把握機會得分。

Charles先生於2026年6月6日自銘傳大學國際學院畢業，獲頒國際事務與外交學文學士學位。

然而，與當天畢業的大多數聖文森及格瑞那丁政府獎學金學生不同的是，他的獎學金並非透過官方管道取得，而是由旅居台灣的聖文森籍籃球教練Craiglee Sam協助爭取，充分展現了飲水思源，回饋他人的典範精神。

2009年，來自聖文森及格瑞那丁貝基亞島的Craiglee Sam與Cregg Friday，成為首批獲得銘傳大學籃球獎學金的國際學生。四年後，兩人皆順利取得旅遊與觀光文學士學位。
畢業後留在台灣發展並擔任籃球教練的Sam先生，後來成功為Charles先生爭取到籃球獎學金，而Charles也於上週六順利完成學業。

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan ) congratulates Nicketha Toney on the completion of a Master of Arts in Studies of Arts and Creative Industries (SAC) from Taipei National University of the Arts.

Ms Toney graduated on June 6, 2026, with a major in Cultural and Creative Industries and a minor in the Shared Campus Minor Program. Her achievement reflects years of dedication, scholarship, and commitment to advancing her academic and professional development.

A significant component of her graduate studies was the successful defence of her research, "Repository of Resilience: The National Nine Mornings Festival and Vincentian Identity".

Through her work, Ms Toney explored one of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ most cherished cultural traditions, highlighting its role in preserving national identity, fostering community cohesion, and strengthening cultural resilience.

Representing the Embassy at the ceremony was Dr. Elroy Wilson, Minister Counsellor, who congratulated Ms Toney on behalf of the Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Dr. Wilson commended her academic accomplishment and noted the importance of research that showcases and preserves Vincentian culture on the international stage.

Ms Toney was also joined by family members and friends to celebrate this special occasion, making the achievement even more meaningful as she marked the culmination of her graduate studies surrounded by the support of loved ones.

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulates Rimaria Burnett (柏芮瑪) on her graduation from National D**g Hwa University (NDHU) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Science and Finance.

Ms Burnett’s mother, Mrs Maria Burnett, travelled to Taiwan to celebrate with her daughter on the special occasion on June 6, 2026.

Ambassador H.E. Kenton X. Chance was among the Vincentians who attended Ms Burnett’s departmental tassel-turning ceremony at NDHU, whose Vincentian population is among the largest at any university in Taiwan.

Ambassador Chance delivered remarks at the commencement ceremony for all graduands of NDHU later that afternoon.

The Embassy wishes Ms Burnett all the best in her future endeavours.

On June 8, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance paid a courtesy call on H.E. Anjanette Kattil, Ambassador of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to the Republic of China (Taiwan).

The meeting provided an opportunity for both ambassadors to engage in meaningful discussions on issues of mutual concern to small island developing states (SIDS), particularly the challenges posed by climate change and the importance of sustainable ocean governance.

The exchange highlighted the unique vulnerabilities shared by island nations and the need for continued international cooperation to address the impacts of rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and environmental degradation.

Both ambassadors also noted the critical role of the ocean in supporting the livelihoods, economies, and cultures of island communities, and emphasised the importance of promoting the sustainable use and conservation of marine resources.

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulates the President of the Vincentian in Taiwan Association (VITA), Kevie Eston Charles Frederick Jr (傅查斯), on his graduation from Ming Chuan University International College (MCUIC) with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Trade.

Mr. Frederick received three awards at MCUIC’s graduation ceremony on June 7, 2026, namely:

1. Outstanding Academic Award
2. Special Contribution Award (IC college)
3. Five Virtues Award (for outstanding performance in Morals, Knowledge, Sports, Teamwork, and Aesthetics)

Mr. Frederick maintained a 4.0 GPA even as he participated in several extracurricular activities, including volunteering and the 9th National College/University B2B Cross-Border E-Commerce Competition.

He made the Dean’s List four times, received a National Science and Technology Council research grant, and had podium finishes three times as member of MCU's men’s general group (一般組) 800m.

During his studies, Mr. Frederick also received the TaiwanICDF Outstanding Academic Award twice and presented at two academic conferences.

H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance, an MCUIC graduate, and his wife, Mrs Symantha Chance, represented the Embassy at Mr. Frederick’s graduation ceremony and congratulated him on his outstanding and exemplary performance.

And, after he took off his graduation gown, Mr. Frederick was back on the track later that evening, competing in a race in Taipei.

聖文森及格瑞那丁駐中華民國（臺灣）大使館恭賀聖文森及格瑞那丁學生暨僑民會會長傅查斯自銘傳大學國際學院畢業，獲得國際企業與貿易學士學位。

傅查斯於2026年6月7日銘傳大學國際學院畢業典禮上榮獲三項殊榮：

1. 傑出學業獎
2. 特殊貢獻獎（國際學院
3. 五育獎（表彰品德、學識、體育、群育及美育方面表現優異）

在學期間，傅查斯即使積極參與各項課外活動，包括志工服務及第九屆全國大專校院B2B跨境電商競賽，仍持續保持4.0滿分平均成績（GPA）。他四度榮登院長榮譽錄，獲得國家科學及技術委員會（NSTC）研究補助，並代表銘傳大學參加男子一般組800公尺賽事三次獲得前三名佳績。

此外，傅查斯曾兩度榮獲臺灣國際合作發展基金會傑出學業獎，並於兩場學術研討會發表研究成果。

同為銘傳大學國際學院校友的姜康特大使與夫人姜喜蔓代表大使館出席畢業典禮，並向傅查斯卓越且足堪表率的表現表達誠摯祝賀。

而就在脫下畢業袍後的當晚，傅查斯便重返田徑場，在臺北參加賽事，展現其一貫的毅力與對運動的熱忱。

The Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulates Sharleen T. Branch on her graduation from National D**g Hwa University with a Master of Arts in Art & Design.

During her studies, Ms Branch was awarded the 2026 Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Outstanding Graduate Student Award, the 2024 MOFA Academic Achievement Award and the 2023 MOFA Academic Achievement Award.

Ms Branch has made her artistic skills available to the Embassy and painted the piece that H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance gifted to the Taiwan Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Lin Chia-lung, when he presented a copy of his credentials on May 26, 2026.

Also, Ms Branch designed the covers of the Embassy’s 2026 Graduation Yearbook.

Ms Branch’s parents, her sister and other relatives and friends travelled to Taiwan to celebrate her graduation, which Ambassador Chance also attended.

聖文森及格瑞那丁駐中華民國（臺灣）大使館恭賀藍夏琳自國立東華大學畢業，並取得藝術與設計文學碩士學位。

在學期間，藍夏琳女士榮獲 2026 年臺灣外Your交部傑出畢業生獎、2024 年外交部學業成就獎，以及 2023 年外交部學業成就獎。

藍夏琳女士亦將其藝術專長貢獻於大使館事務。她創作的藝術作品由姜康特大使於 2026 年 5 月 26 日呈遞到任國書副本時，贈送予外交部長林佳龍。
