Title: Battle of the Bands 2026

Theme: "Kalayaan, Musika, at Bayanihan" Purpose:
•Celebrate Filipino talent and musical heritage
•Promote unity and cultural pride among OFWs
•Provide a platform for Filipino musician abroad

🔊 MECHANICS OF THE COMPETITION
🎤 Eligibility & Participation
•Open to all Filipino bands based in Taiwan
(Overseas Filipinos & OFWs)
•Each band must have 5–8 members
•Participants must be 18 years old and above

📝 Registration Mechanics
•📣 Announcement/Opening: April 13, 2026
•📩 Submit Requirements:
• Band Profile (name, members, background)
• Demo Video (5–6 minutes)
•⏰ Deadline: May 8, 2026

🎥 Elimination Round (Video Submission)
•Performance requirements: each band will perform in video recording
•🎶 1 OPM song (mandatory)
•🎶1 song of choice
•⏱ Time Limit: 6 minutes
•⭐ Selection of finalist: Top 5 bands will advance

🏆 Performance Round (FINALS)

Each band will perform:
•🎵 1 OPM song (required)
•🎵 2 free choice songs (any genre)
⏱ Time Limit: 12–13 minutes
⚠️Exceeding time will result in point deductions
• Results will be based on average score of screening panel
• In case of tie → prioritize: Musicality, Cohesion, Stage presence

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the concerned examinees that the May 2026 Special Licensure Examinations (SPLE) in Bahrain; Al-Khobar, Jeddah, and Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Qatar; Kuwait; Abu-Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; and Israel has been cancelled.

This is for the safety and well-being of all those involved in the administration and conduct of the examination, including the examinees, examination personnel from the PRC, volunteers from the testing centers, and personnel from the Philippine Embassies and/or Migrant Workers Offices are the primordial considerations of the Commission.

Further, the May 2026 SPLE in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan is rescheduled to May 29, 30, and 31, 2026 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
