Great to see the vibrant community in Boston! 🇹🇼✨

TECO Boston recently welcomed back participants of the Harvard–MIT Taiwan Trek and students from the Harvard Taipei Academy (HTA) for a lively TAA reunion, bringing together nearly 40 attendees. 🥂

Now in its third year, Taiwan Trek continues to be a standout student-led program—offering in-depth insights into Taiwan’s democracy, innovation, and society, along with unforgettable cultural experiences like Jiufen, Pinglin, and Shifen. 🏮🍵

Looking forward to seeing more global talents connect with Taiwan and experience its warmth and diversity! 🌏💙

【🎙️ Sharing the TaiwanICDF Scholarship with a Paraguayan Audience 】
On Feb. 2, Mandarin teacher Ellen Jen, currently stationed in Paraguay, was invited to speak on the local radio program Aire de Todos to introduce the TaiwanICDF Scholarship to Paraguayan listeners.
Joining her on the program was Alice Scapinni, a former Mandarin student who studied for one year through TaiwanICDF support and later earned a scholarship to continue her studies in Taiwan. During the broadcast, Alice shared her firsthand experiences of studying and living in Taiwan, saying that the convenience and safety of daily life were what impressed her most.
Ellen also walked listeners through the scholarship application process and highlighted its key advantages — from language training to degree opportunities.
Alice’s journey shows that Taiwan is not just a place on the map, but a destination that offers meaningful growth, discovery, and opportunity.
Engaging a wider audience through the media was a valuable experience. We hope more young people with dreams and ambition will see that studying in Taiwan is not an unreachable goal, but a path worth pursuing with confidence and courage. 🌏✨

As the sun slowly sets,
city lights begin to glow—one by one.
At the moment when day meets night,
there is a light that has never faded.

For 37 years,

like a light—received, carried, and continued.

This year, our journey begins
with the sunset over Alishan,
following the Tropic of Cancer,
through mountains, seas, and railways.

It is a light that lives on in people’s hearts—
shining, spreading, and blooming.
