German Trade Office Taipei 德國經濟辦事處 The GTO Taipei is part of the global network of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad

The German Trade Office Taipei (GTO) was established by the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) as the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in 1981 to promote economic relations between Taiwan and Germany and to represent the interest of German business in Taiwan. The GTO is the first point of contact in Taiwan for German companies, provides information on Taiwan a

nd Germany, informs about investment opportunities in Germany and arranges seminars, networking events and symposia. DEinternational Taiwan Ltd., the service unit of the GTO, organizes business delegations and market survey trips, represents German trade fair companies, and offers bilateral market entry support as well as recruiting, training, office-in-office and other value added services.

2026台北國際自動化工業大展今日起為期四天、於台北南港展覽館盛大登場。

德經處今年再度籌組德國館，集結20家德商，為本屆展會規模最大的國家館，展示涵蓋工業自動化、智慧製造、精密量測、機器視覺、工業通訊與軟體等領域的創新技術與解決方案。

展會期間，德國館並將舉辦兩場「產業解決方案專場」，分別聚焦AI資料中心與高科技廠房，以及太空與航太科技應用，展現德國自動化技術跨領域的應用實力。

Automation Taipei 2026 kicks off today at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center for a four-day showcase of the latest automation technologies and solutions.

We once again organize the German Pavilion this year, bringing together 20 German companies and making it the largest national pavilion at the exhibition. Exhibitors will showcase innovative technologies and solutions spanning industrial automation, smart manufacturing, precision measurement, machine vision, industrial communication and software.

During the exhibition, the German Pavilion will also host two “Solution Pitch” sessions focusing on AI data centers and high-tech facilities as well as space and aerospace applications, highlighting the cross-industry potential of German automation technologies.

Taiwan’s chemical industry is evolving. While traditional petrochemicals face structural challenges, specialty and technology-intensive chemical segments are benefiting from strong demand driven by the semiconductor and AI sectors.

For German suppliers, the outlook remains positive, particularly in technology-intensive niches. Ongoing modernization efforts in Taiwan’s petrochemical sector are creating new business opportunities.

🚑 把急救練成真正派得上用場的能力

面對緊急狀況，知道「該怎麼做」是一回事，能不能在壓力下冷靜判斷、真正採取行動，又是另一回事。

今年，德國經濟辦事處第二度與 壯闊台灣聯盟 Forward Alliance 合作舉辦急救訓練。延續去年以假人進行的基礎急救課程，今年我們直接「升級」到真人情境演練！從止血帶操作、創傷評估五步驟，到臨時擔架製作與傷患搬運，透過更貼近真實狀況的練習，考驗大家的判斷與臨場反應。

從假人到真人，實際練習後大家最直接的感受就是：「真的完全不一樣！」😮 面對真實的人體重量、傷勢情境與現場壓力，每一個動作都更具挑戰，也讓我們更深刻體會到平時訓練的重要性。

急救技能不只是「學過就好」，更需要一次次練習，才能逐漸建立反應與信心。因此，德經處每年都會安排不同形式的急救與安全訓練，從 AED操作、CPR到創傷處置，一步步累積團隊面對突發狀況的應變能力。

希望真正遇到危急時刻時，我們可以少一點慌亂、多一點冷靜，知道自己下一步能做什麼。

因為最好的危機應變，始於危機發生前的準備。 💪

🚑 Turning First Aid Training into Skills That Truly Matter

In an emergency, knowing what to do is one thing. Staying calm under pressure and being able to take action is another.

For the second year, the German Trade Office Taipei worked with Forward Alliance for a first aid training session. Building on last year’s basic training with mannequins, this year we took things a step further with real-person scenario exercises! From applying tourniquets and following the five-step trauma assessment to building improvised stretchers and transporting casualties, the hands-on exercises put our judgment and response skills to the test.

Moving from mannequins to real people, everyone agreed on one thing: “It really feels completely different!” 😮 Dealing with actual body weight, simulated injuries, and the pressure of an emergency scenario made every action more challenging—and showed us just how important regular practice can be.

First aid is not something you simply learn once and check off the list. It takes repeated practice to build confidence and turn knowledge into instinct. That’s why GTO organizes first aid and safety training every year, covering everything from AED use and CPR to trauma response, helping our team strengthen our ability to respond when the unexpected happens.

So when a real emergency arises, we can be a little less overwhelmed, a little more composed—and know what to do next.

Because the best emergency response starts with being prepared. 💪

德國經濟辦事處處長蘭依樺博士很高興於台北接待權拓基因股份有限公司（CENTOGENE APAC）及台灣罕見疾病基金會（TFRD）的代表，雙方就持續提升罕見疾病診斷的可及性進行交流與討論。🤝

權拓基因是一家專注於罕見疾病診斷的德國生命科學公司，並於2026年7月在台灣設立辦事處。適逢成立 20 週年，權拓基因與台灣罕見疾病基金會展開合作，共同支持台灣罕見疾病患者社群。台灣罕見疾病基金會成立於 1999 年，長期致力於為台灣罕見疾病患者發聲，並提供相關支持與協助。

透過此次合作，患者將有機會取得超越傳統檢測方式的先進診斷方案，為過去難以確診的病例提供更多可能，也讓更多患者有機會找到答案。🔬

As Germany and Taiwan are both at the forefront of and innovation, meaningful progress goes hand in hand with community engagement and social responsibility.

Our Chief Representative & Executive Director, Dr. Eva Langerbeck was pleased to welcome representatives from CENTOGENE APAC and the Foundation for Rare Disorders (TFRD) to the German Trade Office Taipei to discuss their ongoing efforts to improve access to diagnostics. 🤝

CENTOGENE is a German life sciences company specializing in rare disease diagnostics and opened its Taiwan office in July 2026. In the spirit of its 20th anniversary, the company partnered with TFRD to support Taiwan’s rare disease community. TFRD was founded in 1999 as an advocacy group for patients with rare diseases in Taiwan.

Through this collaboration, patients can access advanced testing solutions that go beyond conventional methods and find answers that were previously out of reach. 🔬

Looking ahead, we explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Germany’s and Taiwan’s biotech and healthcare sectors, fostering innovation while creating meaningful impact for patients and communities alike.
