#持續更新｜外交部協助中東地區國人返台！

今天6月14日總計有266名國人順利平安返抵國門，目前累計返台國人人數為24,230人。

由於中東情勢仍未趨緩，外交部提醒尚在該地區的國人若需協助返台，請與相關駐外館處保持聯繫，另請參考外交部「中東情勢服務專區」，了解中東地區各館處急難救助電話及掌握政府最新發布資訊。

外交部持續呼籲國人近期暫勿前往中東高風險國家商旅或轉機，如仍有前往需求，務請提高警覺。此外，也提醒國人在出發前於「外交部領事事務局」官網或官方Line帳號完成「出國登錄」，駐外館處可在突發狀況時即時聯繫國人並提供協助。

June 14 update on continued efforts to assist Taiwanese nationals in the Middle East to return home!

Today, 266 Taiwanese nationals returned home from the Middle East, bringing the total since the conflict began to 24,230.

Given the ongoing conflict in the region, MOFA reminds Taiwanese nationals who wish to leave to contact our missions there. The latest updates and emergency contact information are available at the dedicated section of our Chinese-language website.

If you still have to travel to the region, please make the necessary preparations before you depart. Register your trip on BOCA's website or its official Line account, so that our missions can contact you in the event of an emergency.

#澳英部長級諮商｜重申台海和平穩定至關重要！

日前 #英國🇬🇧 外交大臣古柏及時任國防大臣希利與 #澳洲🇦🇺 外交部長黃英賢及國防部長馬勒斯在倫敦舉行「澳英部長級諮商」，兩國在聯合聲明中強調：

▶ 維護台海和平穩定至關重要
▶ 反對片面改變現狀的行動，並鼓勵對話而非脅迫或使用武力
▶ 關切中國在台灣周邊進行破壞區域穩定的的軍演
▶ 持續支持台灣有意義參與國際組織
▶ 致力深化與台灣在經貿、科技及文化的交流

佳龍部長歡迎及肯定英澳兩國連續三年聯合公開表達對台灣的支持。外交部會持續與英澳及其他理念相近國家合作，維護 #台海和平穩定、拓展台灣的國際參與，共同促進印太區域的安全與繁榮。

UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, then Defense Secretary John Healey, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong - Senator for SA and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense of Australia Richard Marles MP met recently for the Australia-UK Ministerial Consultations before issuing a joint statement, which included:

▶ reaffirming the critical importance of Taiwan Strait peace and stability,

▶ opposing any unilateral action to change the status quo and encouraging dialogue rather than coercion or the use of force
▶ expressing concern over the impact of PRC military exercises on regional stability,

▶ supporting our meaningful participation in international organizations,

▶ and reaffirming their commitment to deepen relations with Taiwan in the economic, trade, scientific, technological, and cultural fields.

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung welcomes and commends the statement, the third of its kind in so many years. Taiwan will continue to work closely with like-minded partners, like the UK🇬🇧 and Australia🇦🇺, to uphold the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, boost Taiwan's participation in the international community, and defend the rules-based international order and the security and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region.

The Formosa Finland Fest team is back and ready to set off!

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung attended a press conference ahead of the departure of the Formosa Finland Fest team as they embark on a journey of cultural exchange 🥳

In his address, Minister Lin stated that Taiwan and Finland are both free and democratic countries, with rich cultural scenes to enjoy. As Finland is the world capital of heavy metal, we hope culture and music can continue to serve as a foundation for diplomacy, with people living in freedom having affection for one another despite geographical distance.

Heavy metal star cm Ambassador Freddy Lim appeared via video link, stating what an honor it is to host the first Taiwan-themed market in Finland, and expressed hope that we'll capture Finnish hearts through music, food and culture 🤟🧡

【強烈譴責中國公務船公然首度侵擾我國太平島水域！】

繼中國公務船日前非法襲擾我國東部海域自由航行的貨輪，6月11日上午中國2艘公務船公然首度侵擾我國 #太平島 水域，再度惡意侵害我國主權權益、海事安全，並嚴重威脅區域和平，外交部予以嚴厲譴責並重申：

🔹 中華民國台灣與中華人民共和國互不隸屬

🔹 南海諸島屬於中華民國領土，中華民國對南海諸島及其相關海域享有國際法及海洋法上的權利，不容置疑，更不容挑戰。

中國政府惡意無理的行徑不僅嚴重違反國際法及 #聯合國海洋法公約，更是對國際秩序的公然挑釁，外交部呼籲國際社會正視中國此次非法行動對區域和平穩定所造成嚴重、立即的危害，並共同反制中國的違法行徑。

我國在南海是維持和平穩定的一方，政府也將繼續致力守護海域安全，並持續爭取理念相近國家支持與我國共同維護印太安全。

MOFA strongly condemns the brazen and unprecedented intrusion into waters around Taiping Island by PRC government vessels and urges the international community to jointly counter the PRC’s illegal actions!

Two PRC government vessels committed a brazen and unprecedented intrusion into waters around Taiwan’s Taiping Island on the morning of June 11.

Following the illegal harassment by PRC government vessels of cargo ships exercising their right to freedom of navigation in Taiwan’s eastern waters in recent days, this was another hostile escalation of gray-zone activities and part of a pattern of aggressive behavior that constitutes a grave threat to Taiwan’s sovereign rights and interests and maritime security, as well as regional peace.

The PRC government’s unreasonable activities are a serious breach of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and a flagrant attempt to undermine the international order.

MOFA solemnly condemns the PRC’s unlawful actions, which harm Taiwan’s sovereignty, undermine regional peace and stability, and challenge the international order.

Furthermore, MOFA reiterates that neither the ROC (Taiwan) nor the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is subordinate to the other and that the South China Sea Islands are part of the territory of the ROC. That the ROC enjoys all rights over the South China Sea Islands and their relevant waters in accordance with international law and the law of the sea is beyond dispute and challenge. The incursion of PRC government vessels into the waters surrounding Taiping Island has severely violated Taiwan’s sovereignty and jeopardized the safety of Taiwanese vessels and personnel. The PRC’s malicious provocations and heavy-handed actions have severely contravened the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, other international laws pertaining to maritime safety, and the law of the sea. They have blatantly challenged the international order and disrupted regional peace, security, and stability.

MOFA once again urges the international community to recognize the serious and immediate threat that the PRC’s illegal actions pose to regional peace and stability, and to jointly counter the PRC’s unlawful conduct. Taiwan is a party committed to maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea. The government of Taiwan will continue to staunchly safeguard maritime security and continue to seek the support of like-minded nations in jointly maintaining security in the Indo-Pacific region.

In May, Taiwan took concrete action in Geneva to ensure our voice was heard in the international community!

MOFA and the Ministry of Health and Welfare jointly launched the Taiwan Smart Medical & HealthTech Expo in Geneva, inviting 30 medical institutions and businesses to showcase Taiwan's prowess to the world, demonstrating our determination to contribute to global health.

The international community must unite to safeguard global public health networks, and Taiwan is ready and willing to do our part.

外交部於2024年協助利沃夫市重建 UNBROKEN Ecosystem 醫療園區，當地政府為表彰台灣對烏克蘭重建的支持，特別將整修完成的復健醫療中心命名為 #台灣友誼大樓，佳龍部長與駐波蘭代表劉永健大使這幾天特別透過視訊方式，參與並見證落成揭牌儀式🤩

部長致詞時表示，這次落成啟用的「台灣友誼大樓」不僅象徵兩國人民的友誼與團結，也展現台灣支持烏克蘭醫療重建及民生復原的具體成果，未來也將持續與夥伴攜手，力挺烏克蘭重建家園。

利沃夫市長薩多維致詞時，感謝台灣在烏克蘭遭受戰火侵襲期間持續提供協助，並特別以「患難見真情」形容台灣對烏克蘭的堅定支持！「台灣友誼大樓」象徵台烏人民共同追求希望與重建的決心，未來將為戰爭受害者提供更完善的復健與醫療服務🙌

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung recently witnessed the unveiling of the plaque for a Taiwan Friendship Building of the UNBROKEN Ecosystem rehabilitation center in the Ukrainian city of Lviv🇹🇼🤝🇺🇦!

MOFA provided assistance to the Lviv city government in rebuilding the UNBROKEN Ecosystem medical complex in 2024. In thanks, the city named the newly renovated rehabilitation center for the friendship between our countries.

In his address, Minister Lin stated that the opening of the Taiwan Friendship Building symbolizes the friendship and solidarity between the people of both countries and affirms that Taiwan stands behind Ukraine as it rebuilds its health infrastructure to improve people's lives. Minister Lin stated that healthcare is a key area for Taiwan in providing assistance to Ukraine, and that we'll continue to work with international partners to support Ukraine as they rebuild.

Lviv Mayor Андрій Садовий thanked the people and government of Taiwan for lending assistance amid the war, adding, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." The mayor stated that the building symbolizes the joint hope of both our peoples and determination to rebuild🙌

第11屆歐韓峰會日前在比利時布魯塞爾舉行，🇪🇺 歐盟理事會主席 António Costa、🇪🇺 歐盟執委會主席 Ursula von der Leyen 與 🇰🇷 韓國總統李在明在會後聯合聲明中強調：

🔹重申維護台海和平與穩定的重要性
🔹反對任何片面改變印太地區現狀的企圖
🔹支持《聯合國海洋法公約》所保障的自由航行權與飛越權，包括南海地區在內。

外交部歡迎與肯定歐韓雙方再次以具體行動展現支持， #台海和平穩定 不僅攸關區域安全與繁榮，更是全球供應鏈穩定及國際經貿正常運作的重要基礎。台灣將持續與理念相近夥伴深化合作，共同維護台海及印太地區的和平與繁榮，並捍衛以規則為基礎的國際秩序。

European Council President António Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung met in Brussels recently for the 11th EU-ROK Summit, after which they issued a joint statement which included:

🔹 stress on the importance of preserving peace and stability across Taiwan Strait,
🔹 opposition to unilateral attempts to change the status quo in the Indo-Pacific,
🔹support for the freedom of navigation and overflight, including in the South China Sea, in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

MOFA welcomes and commends the statement. The peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait is critical to the security and prosperity of the region and serves as an important foundation for global supply chains and the regular operation of international trade. As a responsible global stakeholder, Taiwan will continue to strengthen cooperation with like-minded partners to uphold peace and prosperity across the Taiwan Strait and in the wider Indo-Pacific region, as well as the rules-based international order.
