好消息！台灣駕照獲澳洲正式認可，免試換照即將上路 🤩

經外交部及我國駐澳大利亞代表處的爭取與努力，澳洲公路局今年7月正式宣布將台灣納入「海外駕照認可計畫」，未來持我國有效汽、機車駕照的民眾，在符合澳洲各州及領地相關規定下，可以免筆試、免路考，直接申請換發當地駕照 👍

目前預計從今年10月底開始實施，依序為：

🔹 2026年10月31日：西澳州、昆士蘭州

🔹 2027年1月1日：新南威爾斯州、南澳州、北領地

🔹 2027年2月1日：塔斯馬尼亞州

※ 澳洲首都領地、維多利亞州則尚待公告！

佳龍部長肯定與歡迎澳洲提供我國 #免試換照 措施，外交部後續將協調交通部依據互惠原則，給予澳洲人民在台同等待遇，我國駐澳大利亞代表處及駐澳洲各辦事處也將持續關注相關實施情形並與當地主管機關保持聯繫，以維護旅澳國人權益及便利！

Good news! Taiwanese driver's licenses included in AustRoads' Recognized Overseas Licenses Scheme, allowing license swaps!

Australia's transport agency announced the news in July after negotiations with MOFA and our mission in Australia, meaning Taiwanese living and working in Australia can trade in their Taiwanese driving license for an Australian one without need for a theory or road test if they meet certain conditions👍

The scheme will go into implementation in stages, as follows:

🔹October 31, 2026: Western Australia & Queensland

🔹January 1, 2027: New South Wales, South Australia & Northern Territories

🔹February 1, 2027: Tasmania

※TBA: ACT and Victoria

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung welcomed the move, and we're currently working with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to formulate a reciprocal scheme for Australians living and working in Taiwan.

台灣攜手菲律賓，深化國際農漁業合作！

日前「第13屆台菲農漁業合作會議」在菲律賓宿霧順利落幕，在台菲兩國農業部次長、我國畜產試驗所及菲國相關單位代表見證下，我國駐菲律賓大使周民淦與菲律賓馬尼拉經濟文化辦事處主席暨駐台代表彭科蓉在會中正式簽署 #畜產研究合作瞭解備忘錄，深化彼此農業領域合作交流，會中雙方也同意共同促進雙向產業鏈結、技術交流與人才互訪。

台灣與菲律賓自2005年簽署「農漁業合作備忘錄」以來，藉由這項機制穩健推動各項鞏固糧食安全的合作計畫。我國將積極落實「總合外交」政策理念，並攜手菲律賓強化彼此產業連結，共同增進兩國民生福祉及永續發展！🇹🇼🤝🇵🇭

Taiwan & Philippines sign MOU on animal husbandry research at 13th meeting on agricultural & fisheries cooperation!

The meeting took place in Cebu, boosting bilateral cooperation, and the MOU was signed by our Representative to the Philippines, Ambassador Wallace Chow, and the Chairperson and Resident Representative at the Manila Economic and Cultural Office Corazon Avecilla-Padiernos, witnessed by the deputy ministers of agriculture for each country, as well as the Taiwan Livestock Research Institute and its Philippine counterpart. The MOU will strengthen agricultural cooperation and exchange, and both sides also agreed during the meeting to boost industry links, technical exchange, and reciprocal visits by technical staff.

Since Taiwan and the Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding on agriculture and fisheries cooperation in 2005, they have advanced initiatives to strengthen cooperation on food security. Under the integrated diplomatic approach, Taiwan will continue to enhance industry links with the Philippines, boosting the welfare and sustainable development of both countries! 🇹🇼🤝🇵🇭

Taiwan & Spain look to new chapter in 400-year history of exchange🇹🇼🇪🇸

MOFA Deputy Minister François Wu was recently invited by Representative Germán Bejarano García to take part in Spain's celebrations alongside other VIPs, demonstrating the friendship between our countries.

In his address, Wu said that relations between our countries span 400 years, from 1626 to 2026, laying the foundation for ongoing exchange. He thanked the Spanish Cortes Generales and friends across sectors in the country for supporting Taiwan's participation in the international community, and expressed hope for a stronger partnership aimed at upholding our shared values of freedom and democracy.

Representative Bejarano Garcia stated that this year's reception took the form of a concert showcasing cultural performances. He also called for expanded cooperation on trade, tech, education, and culture, and for strengthened links and friendship🎶

史瓦帝尼國王訪台圓滿，台史合作再創新里程碑！🇹🇼🤝🇸🇿

我國非洲友邦史瓦帝尼國王恩史瓦帝三世（King Mswati III）於10月17日結束訪台行程。此次訪台重要成果：

🔹出席國慶大典與國慶酒會、會晤 賴清德 總統及接受國宴款待。

🔹深化司法合作：與賴總統共同見證兩國簽署《刑事司法互助合作協定》。

🔹促進多元領域交流：參訪陸軍航空飛行訓練指揮部、台北醫學大學附設醫院及農業部花卉創新園區研究發展中心，深化國防訓練、醫療及農業等領域的交流。

🔹拓展產業與經貿夥伴關係：出席佳龍部長主持的「投資與繁榮」晚宴，與我國產業界就推動「 #台灣產業創新園區」（TIIP）交流，協助台灣企業布局非洲市場。

Successful visit by Eswatini King Mswati III marking new milestone in cooperative ties🇹🇼🤝🇸🇿

His Majesty's visit to Taiwan concluded on October 17, and we've listed some highlights below!

🔹He took part in National Day celebrations and evening reception, meeting with President Lai Ching-te and being received at a state banquet.

🔹Strengthening judicial cooperation: he witnessed the signing of an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.

🔹Expanding cooperation and exchange: He visited the Army Aviation Training Command in Tainan, Taipei Medical University Hospital, and the Ministry of Agriculture's Floral Industry Innovation Center, strengthening ties on national defense training, healthcare, and agriculture, respectively.

🔹Expanding our industrial and trade partnership: he attended an investment and prosperity reception hosted by MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung, aimed at encouraging exchange with industry representatives from Taiwan ahead of the establishment of the Taiwan Industrial Innovation Park in Eswatini, which offers them a foothold in the African market.

This is His Majesty's 20th visit to Taiwan, marking over 58 years of diplomatic ties between our countries. Both heads of state have engaged in state visits over the past year. MOFA thanks His Majesty for his long-standing efforts to speak up for Taiwan at international fora, and we'll continue to strengthen substantive cooperation across sectors with a view to creating shared prosperity and an enduring partnership💯

外交部推動拉美各國多元領域人才交流與培育！

日前陳明祺次長舉辦午宴，與 淡江大學Tamkang University #全球政治經濟學系亞太與拉美研究數位學習碩士在職專班 新生交流，歡迎他們來台！

席間陳次長感謝淡江大學長期促進台灣與拉丁美洲的交流。面對全球供應鏈重組及人工智慧等新興科技發展，台灣除持續投入教育、人才培育及創新外，也非常重視與各國建立穩定多元的合作關係，例如台灣與巴拉圭共同推動 #臺巴科技大學 等計畫，另我國也協助台商布局全球，促成友邦在地發展新產業，達致互惠共榮的夥伴關係。期盼學員藉此次來訪進一步探索台灣與拉美各國合作契機。

厄瓜多籍新生代表Lorena Yael Piedra Cobo感謝外交部及淡江大學的精心安排的課程與參訪活動，全體學員將把握此次交流機會，深化對台灣的認識，並於返國後分享所見所聞，未來也將貢獻所學，持續深化台灣與拉美的合作及友誼。

MOFA promotes cross-sector exchange and talent-cultivation links with Latin America!

MOFA Deputy Minister Chen Ming-chi hosted a welcome luncheon for students taking part in the Executive Master's in Asia-Pacific and Latin American Studies at the Department of Global Politics and Economics of Tamkang University.

Chen thanked the university for its long-standing efforts to engage in exchange with Latin America. As we face a restructuring of global supply chains and the development of emerging technologies, like AI, he added, Taiwan continues to invest in education, talent cultivation, and innovation, as well as engaging in diverse cooperative initiatives with countries around the world, such as the Taiwan-Paraguay Polytechnic University project. Chen also pointed out that Taiwan is assisting Taiwanese businesses in expanding their global reach, which also helps our allies develop new industry sectors in win-win partnerships. He expressed hope that the students will explore cooperative opportunities between Taiwan and their home countries during the visit.

A student representative from Ecuador, Lorena Yael Piedra Cobo, thanked MOFA and Tamkang University for the classes and activities that will be undertaken as part of the course, adding that the students will take full advantage of the opportunities to engage in exchange and broaden their knowledge of Taiwan, sharing what they've learned on their return home to contribute to lasting friendship and cooperation with Taiwan.

【 台灣攜手波蘭，深化與歐洲夥伴關係！】

前幾天佳龍部長率團訪問波蘭，行程緊湊為台灣拚外交，包含：

📍應邀出席 #第13屆華沙安全論壇 發表專題演說。

📍會晤各國政要與友人：波蘭前代理總統暨現任參議院外委會主席斯赫廷納、波蘭國會「波台國會小組」主席圖斯科拉斯基；立陶宛 前國防部長莎卡琳恩；捷克籍歐洲議會議員葛芮若；愛沙尼亞國會外交委員會主席梅馬侃等重要友台議員。

📍參訪波蘭國家研究網路微電子與光電研究所：宣布台灣工研院將在半導體韌性方面首度與波蘭建立針對功率 #氮化鎵晶片技術合作計畫，台波代表也將簽署合作備忘錄，打造「台灣技術輸出、波蘭應用落地、製造需求回流台灣」的互惠互利正向產業循環，強化兩國功率半導體技術，並將拓展電動車、能源等高功率應用市場機會。

📍參訪宏碁波蘭廠：此一廠區為Acer在歐洲供應鏈的關鍵環節，以及保固維修的重要服務中心。

📍參訪波蘭國際援助中心：重申我國將持續堅定支持烏克蘭，盼續與該中心推動人道援助計畫，協助烏克蘭戰後重建。

外交部將持續以 #總合外交 理念，結合價值、同盟與經濟三個面向，與歐洲理念相近夥伴深化合作，展現台灣是歐洲推動再工業化最可信賴的民主夥伴，基於「價值外交」，推動「加值外交」，促進彼此繁榮與安全。

Taiwan and Poland help strengthen the partnership with Europe!

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung recently led a delegation to Poland, and his packed schedule included the following:

📍Delivering a keynote speech at the 13th Warsaw Security Forum.

📍Meeting with European politicians and friends of Taiwan, including former acting president of Poland, Chair of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Grzegorz Schetyna, Polish-Taiwanese Parliamentarian Group Chair Krzysztof Truskolaski - Poseł na Sejm RP, former Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Dovilė Šakalienė, Czech MEP Markéta Gregorová, and Chair of the Estonian Riigikogu Foreign Affairs Committee Marko Mihkelson, among others.

📍Visiting Poland's Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics. There, he announced that the Industrial Technology Research Institute will take part in a cooperative research project on power gallium nitride semiconductor technology with Poland to boost semiconductor resilience. Taiwan and Poland will also sign an MOU to create a mutually beneficial industry cycle: exporting Taiwan technology, applying it locally in Poland, and returning manufacturing demand to Taiwan. The initiative will boost both countries' power semiconductor technology, expanding market opportunities for electric vehicles, energy, and high-power applications.

📍He visited the Acer factory in Poland, a key node in Acer's European supply chain, and an important repair and service center.

📍He visited the Polish Center for International Aid, reiterating Taiwan's support for Ukraine, and hopes to assist Ukraine in rebuilding through humanitarian projects undertaken with the center.

MOFA will continue to harness values, alliances, and economic strengths under the integrated diplomatic approach to strengthen partnerships with like-minded European nations, ensuring that Taiwan remains a trusted democratic partner for Europe in its goals of reindustrialization, driving shared prosperity and security through values-based and value-added diplomacy.

🍁 誠摯歡迎「加拿大-台灣國會議員友好協會」訪問團！

昨天陳明祺次長舉行款宴，代表政府歡迎「加拿大-台灣國會議員友好協會」會長暨眾議院國際貿易委員會主席史葛洛眾議員率團到訪！

席間陳次長感謝加拿大國會長期堅定支持台灣，包含支持台灣有意義參與國際組織、2024年無異議通過動議反制中國曲解聯大第2758號決議。此外，陳次長也提到台加兩國經濟結構互補，未來可進一步深化在經貿領域的合作，共同強化供應鏈韌性及經濟安全。

史葛洛眾議員表示，台加兩國不僅理念相近，雙方經貿關係也非常緊密。加拿大高度肯定台灣面對中國不斷地威脅與施壓，仍堅定維護民主制度並展現韌性。期待進一步拓展雙邊經貿合作，持續深化台加友好關係。

🍁MOFA welcomes the Taiwan-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group delegation on their Taiwan visit🍁

MOFA Deputy Minister Chen Ming-chi hosted a welcome banquet for the delegation, which was led by group chair, House of Commons Standing Committee on International Trade Chair Judy Sgro MP.

Chen thanked the Canadian parliament for its long-standing support for Taiwan, including support for Taiwan's meaningful participation in international organizations, and unanimously adopting a motion rejecting China’s interpretation of UN Resolution 2758 regarding Taiwan’s status in 2024.‍ Chen also stated that Taiwan and Canada's economies have complementary structures, and expressed hope for expanded cooperation and strengthening of supply chain resilience and economic security.

Sgro stated that Taiwan and Canada share values and enjoy close trade ties. She lauded Taiwan's resolute defense of its democratic institutions and resilience in the face of China's threats and coercion. She expressed hope of further expanding bilateral cooperation and continuing to strengthen the Taiwan-Canada friendship.

MOFA hopes to advance bilateral engagement through parliamentary exchanges, as well as boosting cooperation on trade, tech, and economic security, to forge a resilient democratic partnership 🇹🇼🤝🇨🇦
