來自加拿大各地的貿易與經濟專家訪團，正探索臺灣充滿活力的經濟與創新生態系✨ 透過與政府、產業及學術界的交流，成員們獲得第一手洞見，認識臺灣作為可信賴貿易與投資夥伴的實力🤝🌿

The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) was pleased to welcome the Canadian delegation participating in the 2026 Visitor Leadership Program, hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), during their visit to Taiwan from August 17 to 23.

Comprised of trade and economic professionals from across Canada, the delegation is exploring Taiwan's dynamic economy, innovation ecosystem, and globally competitive industries. Through meetings with government officials, industry leaders, researchers, and academics, participants will be gaining firsthand insights into Taiwan's strengths as a trusted trade and investment partner!

CTOT was delighted to support the delegation and exchange views on opportunities to further strengthen Canada-Taiwan commercial ties and economic cooperation.

本週台灣正在舉行 #城鎮韌性演習，我們接受了 British Office Taipei 英國在台辦事處 的挑戰，來和大家分享我們的緊急避難包裡都裝了些什麼。

加拿大駐台北貿易辦事處的何曼麗代表 欣然接受了這項挑戰，現在要交棒給在 美國在台協會 AIT、 歐洲經貿辦事處 European Economic and Trade Office (EETO)，最後是 林飛帆 。

何代表的急救包包括：護照及身分證件、現金、飲用水、急救箱、手電筒、行動電源及可攜式收音機。當然，還少不了幾樣充滿加拿大特色、能帶來安心感的小物：楓糖漿和一隻河狸玩偶！

As Taiwan conducts its Urban Resilience Exercise this week, we were challenged by our friends at the British Office Taipei 英國在台辦事處 to show what's in our emergency go-bag.

Our Executive Director, Marie-Louise Hannan, was happy to accept the challenge and is now passing it on to our friends at the 美國在台協會 AIT, who will then pass it to the 歐洲經貿辦事處 European Economic and Trade Office (EETO), and finally to 林飛帆.

Her essentials include: Passport and IDs, Some Cash, Water, First-aid kit, Flashlight, power bank and portable radio. And of course, a few Canadian comfort items: Maple Syrup and a beaver plushie.

What's in your go-bag? Show us in the comments! Everyone who shares a photo or video of their emergency go-bag will be entered into a lucky draw to win one of our beaver plushies, complete with a clip so you can attach it to your bag.

Proud to be in Kaohsiung!

Siuki Kwan, Director of Administration and Consular Services at the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, attended the 2026 Urban Resilience Exercise in Kaohsiung, observing a series of activities designed to strengthen disaster preparedness in southern Taiwan.

Through tabletop and field exercises, Kaohsiung City government agencies and emergency responders demonstrated how they work together to respond effectively to emergencies, protect critical infrastructure, and enhance community resilience.

Building resilience is a shared responsibility. We value opportunities to exchange experiences, learn from our partners, and contribute to dialogue on emergency management and disaster preparedness.

Thank you to our hosts and all participants for an excellent event.

Executive Director Marie Louise Hannan joined the Taiwan Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrations in Taipei on August 1, standing alongside Indigenous communities, local leaders, and international partners to honour Taiwan’s rich Indigenous cultures.
Canada values its long-standing ties with Indigenous peoples at home and abroad. Participating in today’s ceremony reflects our commitment to reconciliation, cultural respect, and continued cooperation between Indigenous communities in Canada and Taiwan.

We were honoured to have two distinguished Canadian voices contribute to the dialogue:

The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) was pleased to host a delegation of legislators from New Brunswick in Taipei. The visit included productive discussions on Canada–Taiwan cooperation in trade, education, Indigenous exchange, and regional partnerships, as well as updates on New Brunswick’s latest developments in innovation and community growth.
CTOT looks forward to strengthening engagement between Canadian provinces and Taiwan, and to deepening collaboration across multiple sectors. We warmly welcome the New Brunswick delegation and wish them a successful and meaningful visit!
