【當世界走進花蓮，花蓮也正在走向世界。】
很多人認為，國際交流是大城市的舞台。但這幾天，花蓮用實際行動證明，一座城市真正的高度，不在高樓林立，而在於能否讓世界願意走進來。
國際少年運動會，不只是一場比賽。
它是一群來自不同國家、不同文化、不同語言的年輕人，在花蓮相遇、交流、學習，並留下共同回憶的舞台。
運動部在花蓮舉辦台灣品牌國際賽論壇，邀集希臘、菲律賓、日本、馬來西亞等國際專家，共同分享城市透過運動推動國際交流的經驗，也讓世界再次看見花蓮的魅力。
我始終相信，一座城市真正的競爭力，不只是經濟數字，更是文化的厚度、人民的熱情，以及與世界接軌的能力。
當國際友人因為一場賽事認識花蓮，他們看見的不只是太魯閣、太平洋與縱谷美景，更看見花蓮人的真誠、包容與熱情。
對孩子而言，國際少年運動會或許是一場比賽；但對花蓮而言，卻是一扇通往世界的窗。
每一次握手，都跨越了語言。
每一次加油，都拉近了彼此的距離。
每一次交流，都在為下一代播下國際視野的種子。
我們期待的不只是成功舉辦一場國際賽事，而是讓更多國際活動選擇花蓮、更多世界朋友認識花蓮、更多花蓮孩子勇敢走向世界。
世界可以因為運動認識花蓮，花蓮也能因為交流擁抱世界。
讓世界看見花蓮，不只是今天的榮耀；更是我們對下一代最重要的投資。
因為一座願意與世界同行的城市，才有更寬廣的未來。
[When the world walks into Hualian, Hualian is also going to the world.]
Many people believe that international exchanges are the stage of big cities.
But in recent days, Hualian has proved with practical actions that the real height of a city is not the high-rise buildings, but whether the world can be willing to come in.
The International Youth Games is not just a game.
It is a stage for a group of young people from different countries, different cultures and different languages to meet, communicate, learn, and leave common memories in Hualien.
The Sports Department held the Taiwan Brand International Competition Forum in Hualien, inviting international experts from Greece, the Philippines, Japan, Malaysia and other places to share the city's experience in promoting international exchanges through sports, and also letting the world see the charm of Hualien again.
I always believe that the real competitiveness of a city is not only economic numbers, but also the thickness of culture, the enthusiasm of the people, and the ability to connect with the world.
When international friends know Hualien because of an event, they see not only the beautiful scenery of Tailu Pavilion, the Pacific Ocean and Zonggu, but also the sincerity, tolerance and enthusiasm of Hualian people.
For children, the International Youth Games may be a competition; but for Hualien, it is a window to the world.
Every handshake crosses the language.
Every time we cheer up, we get closer to each other.
Every exchange is sowing the seeds of international vision for the next generation.
What we look forward to is not only to successfully holding an international competition, but also to let more international activities choose Hualien, more world friends to know Hualian, and more Hualian children bravely go to the world.
The world can know Hualian because of sports, and Hualian can also embrace the world because of communication.
Letting the world see Hualien is not only today's glory, but also our most important investment for the next generation.
Because a city is willing to walk with the world has a broader future.
