| FUNGUO investee is turning waste into opportunity!

Green Venture Tanzania is an innovative recycling and manufacturing company transforming plastic waste into sustainable, eco-friendly lumber and handcrafted furniture. Founded by young entrepreneur Edgar Tarimo, the company is helping tackle plastic pollution and deforestation while creating opportunities for local communities.

♻️ How they operate:
• Partnering with over 130 freelance waste collectors to retrieve plastic waste from landfills, rivers, and households
• Using an innovative extrusion process to convert collected plastic into durable “plastic lumber”
• Producing eco-friendly materials for construction, decking, and fencing
• Working with local carpenters, who transform nearly 50% of the planks into handcrafted outdoor furniture

Green Venture Tanzania is proving that green businesses can drive both environmental and economic impact.
