In Dodoma, we celebrated 20 remarkable women leaders who successfully completed the eight-month Wanawake Viongozi Programme, implemented under the Wezesha Binti project in partnership with the Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC) and the Egmont Royal Institute for International Relations.

Through leadership training, mentorship, peer learning and professional exchange, the programme strengthened the participants’ confidence, leadership skills and professional networks, equipping them to lead positive change across Tanzania’s public service.

Hongereni sana, Wanawake Viongozi! Continue leading, inspiring others and opening doors for the women who will follow.

We’re in Tanga at the National Skills Competition, celebrating the bright young talents shaping the future of technical skills in Tanzania.

Through our 🇧🇪🇹🇿 bilateral Wezesha Binti project and the 🇪🇺-funded IncluCities project, under Enabel’s Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) initiative, we’re proud to support trainees competing in Electrical Installation, Welding and Metal Fabrication, while also giving participants from the regional competitions a platform to showcase their skills, learn and grow.

Upgraded workshops, modern tools and equipment, stronger private sector participation, and quality training all contribute to one goal: more competitive, work-ready graduates equipped for the future.

Together with Mercy Corps Tanzania and NMB Foundation, we officially launched EVOLVE (Empowering EV Ventures through Opportunities for Leveraged Value Addition and Expansion), a new initiative that will accelerate the growth of Tanzania’s electric mobility ecosystem.

This initiative will support the growth of Tanzania’s electric mobility sector over the next 24 months. It is funded by the European Union under its Global Gateway strategy through the T-GATE project, with co-investment from NMB Foundation.

Implemented by Mercy Corps and NMB Foundation through a grant awarded by Enabel, EVOLVE will support 15 new startups and help eight existing MSMEs to expand their operations. All 23 enterprises will receive access to blended grants and credit alongside technical, entrepreneurial and business development support.

Connecting SMEs to new markets starts with strong partnerships🤝

Through the GoTrade program , Enabel and DHL are working together to help small businesses build the skills, knowledge and connections they need to succeed in cross-border trade and e-commerce.

Working alongside the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TNCC Tanzania) and the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC _Women Chamber ), the initiative is strengthening the ecosystem that enables SMEs to grow, trade and create more inclusive economic opportunities.

Three DigiTrucks are now officially open and have been inaugurated in Kigoma 🚛💻

The solar-powered mobile digital classrooms are now ready to bring digital learning opportunities closer to teachers, schools and communities in 📍 Bitale, Nyansha and Kizazi.

The DigiTrucks are designed to strengthen digital skills and support teachers and learners to use technology more effectively in teaching and learning.

With the DigiTrucks now open, digital learning is moving closer to the communities and learners they are designed to support.

For two days, Enabel joined education leaders, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers at the Utafiti Elimu 2026 Conference at NM-AIST in Arusha, under the theme “Elevating Education Evidence in Tanzania.”

Through a keynote address, panel discussions, and moderation, we shared insights from the COVE model implemented in Kigoma, Mwanza, Tanga, and Pemba, and the Wezesha Binti programme, showcasing practical approaches to strengthening TVET, advancing gender equality, and promoting inclusive education.

Together, we continue to champion evidence-based solutions that help build an education system where every learner can thrive.

How is the T-GATE project transforming trade and transport in Tanzania?

Funded by the EU’s Global Gateway initiative, T-GATE is strengthening the Port of Dar es Salaam through three interconnected pillars: enhancing port performance, facilitating regional trade, and promoting electric mobility. Together with the Tanzania Ports Authority, Port of Antwerp-Bruges International, TradeMark Africa, UN-Habitat, and Enabel, we are building a more efficient, connected, and sustainable future for trade and transport.
