The objective for which “ALT” is established is to contribute on poverty alleviation as well as national economy through mobilizing pyrethrum, sunflower and sesame business in the course of adopting the recommended technologies as well as lobbying with the Government and other Partners for creating friendly environment. ALT intend to bring together and represent stakeholders from specific selected

crops in the country to apply agribusiness in form of corporate entities with aim of addressing better agronomic system. The organization will create awareness, mobilize and organize a comprehensive education system to suit selected crops to provide farmers with all ethics related to agribusiness which is about value chain system linking group of farmers and other stakeholders with assured market hence enabling them to buy shares within the value adding system such as processing and packaging. ALT is committed to promote sustainable agriculture industry through mobilizing quantity and quality agricultural produce among all stakeholders by making use of all value chain actors of pyrethrum, sunflower and sesame industry using the PPP approach for improved income generation to contribute to national economy and poverty alleviation in the United Republic of Tanzania. ALT will focus on promoting and providing reliable technologies for pyrethrum, sunflower as well as sesame crops in the United Republic of Tanzania. The selected crops are known to grow well in most of regions and that one farmer can deal with two different crops for diversification to capture more market and at the same time be able to avoid effects of disastrous weather by minimizing risks.
