AYU-Tanzania Chapter is a part of African Youth Union (AYU) which is a registered Organization works in line with AU youth charter, UDHR (1948) and international law. AYU-Tanzania Chapter aims at bringing youths from Tanzania to African Youth Union (AYU) which is the first active, independent continental body that involves all sovereign countries of Africa. etoria, South Africa. AYU began in January 2011 as Pan African Youth Union (PAYU), in August it changed its name to African Youth Union (AYU). It started from South Africa and later spread to other parts of Africa and now Tanzania. It came as a result of neglecting the role of youths in the political sector, social-economic sector, the decaying patriotism and nationalism among Africans, foreign aggression, violating of human rights, poor systems of governance and dictatorship among African leaders.
