Members of the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) Board, led by the Chairperson of the Board, participated in a training session on the Performance Contract Guidelines, facilitated by the Office of the Government Registrar of Treasury.

The training aimed to strengthen the Board members’ understanding of performance contract implementation, institutional responsibilities, accountability, and effective oversight in achieving the Commission’s strategic objectives.

The initiative reflects ZCT’s continued commitment to strengthening good governance, accountability, institutional performance, and effective delivery of its mandate in Zanzibar’s tourism sector.

The Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) participated in the Kizimkazi Festival, where its pavilion welcomed various guests, including government and institutional leaders, prominent personalities, tourism stakeholders, and visitors from different places.

The engagement provided an opportunity to promote Zanzibar’s tourism attractions, strengthen stakeholder relations, and showcase the destination’s diverse tourism opportunities.

Zanzibar continues preparations for the World Travel Awards 2026, with the Deputy Minister for Tourism and Heritage, Hon. Moudrik Ramadhan Soraga, joining the leadership of the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) in a strategic meeting with World Travel Awards stakeholders.

The engagement focused on strengthening coordination and ensuring successful preparations for the prestigious event scheduled to take place in Zanzibar on 28 August 2026 at Diamonds Bijoux Zanzibar, further positioning the destination on the global tourism stage.
