The village of Bozhentsi attracts creative people. Writers, architects, artists, scientists and artists live here, so it is first of all interesting to see their houses. Buildings have 2 or 3 floors and attics. Some of the houses work as museums, while others serve as hotels and summer cottages. Each large yard in the village is named after the owner of the house: Dryankovtsi, Sirenite and others.

On the territory of the village there are workshops where you can buy various handicrafts, dishes, oil from rose petals, national dolls. You can enjoy Bulgarian cuisine and have a good time in one of the local restaurants.

The village of Bozhentsi has been known as a wealthy place since the 18th century. Local residents were successfully engaged in cattle breeding and handicrafts, and also traded wool, honey and wax with nearby settlements.

Due to the hilly terrain, the Bozhensky masters had to scrupulously approach the design of their own dwellings. Rural houses are surrounded by high stone fences, gates made of solid oak with forged trim. Drinking fountains and bridges are paved with stone, and small cozy shops only emphasize the romantic atmosphere of antiquity. Tourists walking through the village seem to be transported into the past in a time machine, and Bozhentsi is in no hurry to change its architectural appearance.

Bozhentsi is a compact village in Bulgaria, which is an architectural monument of the Renaissance. The village is located in the Gabrovo region, on the northern slopes of the Central Old Planina. Bozhentsi covers an area of 7.3 km². 41 people live here. A few houses stand on both banks of the Bozhanka River, at an altitude of 750 m above sea level.
