In 1971, under the “Argon” program, Poland’s Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) began developing a new gr***de launcher. The RPG-76 “Komar” was successfully tested in 1980, entered serial production in 1983, and was later adopted by the Polish Army as a disposable support weapon.
In March 2022, Poland transferred surplus RPG-76 “Komar” launchers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of military aid in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion. These systems had been withdrawn from Polish service, stored in warehouses, and handed over to Ukraine at the beginning of the war.
Ukrainian combat units used them against lightly armored enemy vehicles, including APCs and IFVs, and also trained with them under real combat conditions.

Savage little beast.
