Russia struck a Coca-Cola production facility in Ukraine’s Kyiv region, damaging the site.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha condemned the attack, stressing it was not an isolated incident but part of Russia’s broader strategy to harm the U.S. economy.

“Only strength will put Moscow in its place. In this sense, we once again urge the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the Sanctioning Russia Act,” Ukraine’s Foreign Minister said.

Since 27 August, Kyiv has faced wave after wave of Russian drones, with new threats emerging soon after previous ones have passed.

Alongside large-scale night attacks, Russia is increasingly sending smaller groups of drones during the day, including fast jet-powered drones that are more difficult to intercept.

Every launch puts lives at risk. Their relentless frequency adds another dimension to Russia’s tactic: keeping millions under threat, forcing people back into shelters, disrupting work, transport and services, and exhausting civilian life in the capital.

Russia is looking for new ways to escalate its war. Ukraine needs the means to counter them – more anti-drone capabilities, stronger air defence, and faster European production of the systems that protect Ukrainian skies.

Russia is adapting its attacks. Our ability to stop them must adapt faster.

Yevhen Malik, a defender of Mariupol, was held in Russian captivity for 2.5 years. He recalls the constant beating on any pretext the prison officers could come up with, like a "misplaced glance".

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported that Russia uses 695 different forms of torture against Ukrainian prisoners of war. This is not an isolated case, but part of Russia’s state system of abuse and violence.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Kyiv on September 3 for the first-ever standalone bilateral visit by an Indian Foreign Minister to Ukraine.

The ministers discussed Russia’s escalating war, including attacks on civilian vessels, Ukrainian ports and port infrastructure in the Black Sea, which Russia has turned into a war zone. Indian sailors have also lost their lives as a result of Russia’s attacks, and Andrii Sybiha expressed his condolences.

They also discussed peace efforts, freedom of navigation, global food security and Russia’s nuclear threats. Ukraine welcomed India’s role as a global power and called for its stronger involvement in international efforts to end the war.

💬 “Ukraine is ready to end the war. We have realistic proposals. It is time to turn to diplomacy,” Andrii Sybiha said.

The two sides also discussed strengthening Ukraine–India ties, including trade, investment and the involvement of Indian businesses in Ukraine’s recovery. Bilateral trade already stands at $2.6 billion, with significant room for growth. Energy, infrastructure, transport, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, digitalisation and engineering were identified as promising areas for cooperation.

The ministers also agreed to promote scientific and technological cooperation, university and research links, and educational and cultural exchanges.

💬 “Ukraine regards India as an important partner. We look forward to India’s continued support for the principles of the UN Charter, Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, freedom of navigation and international law,” Ukraine’s Foreign Minister stressed.

Since Russia launched its full-scale war, 1,645 civilians in Ukraine have suffered from Russian mines and explosive remnants of war.

They include 170 children and 1,475 adults.

Behind these numbers are people who need long-term treatment, rehabilitation and support. Every civilian mine incident is also investigated by Ukrainian law enforcement as a possible violation of the laws and customs of war by Russia.

At the same time, Ukraine continues to clear contaminated areas. In July 2026 alone, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence demining units cleared 923 hectares of deoccupied territories.

International support for demining Ukraine is crucial. The Demining Capability Coalition supporting Ukraine plans to establish a €95 million fund to support demining efforts. In 2026, Ukraine is also set to receive €205 million worth of specialised demining equipment and machinery.

Every hectare cleared of mines means fewer lives at risk.

At the UN General Assembly, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa stressed Russia continues to pursue war rather than peace, using terror and repression.

Mariana Betsa underscored that in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russia is persecuting Ukrainians for their views, carrying out arbitrary detentions and forced disappearances, while using education to impose Russian identity on Ukrainian children.

She called for stronger international pressure on Moscow and continued support for Ukraine, stressing that an immediate ceasefire must be the first step towards a just and lasting peace.

Ukraine has informed the UN’s International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) that Russian airspace is not safe for civil aviation due to increased military activity and urges everyone to avoid it.

Commenting on this step, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha emphasized that Russia has been deliberately ignoring the existing threats as a result of its aggression against Ukraine, which has already led to several incidents in the past years. Against the backdrop of Russia’s drastic escalation of terror against Ukraine, Russian airspace is becoming increasingly unsafe.

This is Ukraine’s responsible decision to notify ICAO and all airlines, and governments to take caution – even if Russia refuses to fulfill its responsibility to inform them.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha took part in the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Ireland, calling for a stronger and more united European response to Russia’s war and escalation.

He stressed three key topics: countering Russian escalation and advancing peace efforts, putting greater pressure on the Kremlin’s war economy, and strengthening Ukraine’s defence and resilience.

Andrii Sybiha urged the EU to step up sanctions, including against Russia’s military-industrial complex, shadow fleet and space sector, as well as a full embargo on Russian alumina and tougher travel restrictions on Russian nationals. He also called for continued efforts to restore freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and protect global food stability.

He said that Ukraine urgently needs more air defence interceptors, additional energy support and funding to cover defence gaps. He also called for finding a sound legal solution to use immobilised Russian assets to support Ukraine.

💬 “Our position is clear: European taxpayers should not bear the financial burden alone when immobilised Russian assets can be fairly used for that. I am confident we can find a solid legal solution that will address individual concerns, ensure a shared responsibility, and minimize all risks,” he underscored.

Ukraine’s Minister also urged the EU to move ahead with the remaining accession negotiation clusters, stressing that Russia’s aggression and sabotage are a threat to Europe as a whole and require a bold, united response.
