PUBLIC NOTICE

The Youngerz Athletic Foundation (TYAF) wishes to inform all participants, parents, schools, supporters, and the general public that the planned Andre Chess Tournament has been postponed.

This decision has been taken in consideration of the ongoing public health concerns following reported Ebola cases in Uganda and the heightened preventive measures being implemented by health authorities. We have also faced certification and clearance challenges as we work closely with the relevant health authorities in Budaka to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

While we understand the disappointment this may cause, the health and safety of our young players, officials, and the community remain our highest priority.

We remain committed to organizing the tournament and will communicate a new date once the situation improves and all necessary approvals have been secured.

We thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Together, we look forward to a successful and safe tournament in the near future.

NOTICE TO OUR CHESS COMMUNITY AND WELL-WISHERS

Yesterday, The Youngerz Athletic Foundation held a general planning meeting regarding this year's Andre Chess Tournament ( ). While our commitment to promoting chess and nurturing young talent remains strong, we were confronted with the financial realities currently affecting the organization.

As a result, we are uncertain whether the tournament will be held this year in its usual form. We are actively exploring possible solutions and partnerships that may enable us to continue this important tradition.

We would like to thank all our players, supporters, sponsors, parents, and well-wishers for their unwavering support over the years. We will keep the community informed of any developments and remain hopeful that, together, we can find a way forward.

FOTOTO CUP May 2026 was successfully held yesterday, Sunday 24th May 2026. We extend our sincere appreciation to all team managers, coaches, players, match officials, partners, supporters, and the entire Budaka community for the love, unity, discipline, and support shown throughout the tournament.

Your contribution made this event a great success and a true celebration of football for today and tomorrow. We also wish all the players a fruitful school term ahead as they return for studies. By Allah’s grace, we look forward to meeting again during the Second Term holidays for even bigger and better moments together.

Dear Teams, Coaches, and Partners,

TYAF would like to inform you that due to a school program scheduled at the venue on Saturday 23rd May, the management has advised us to shift the FOTOTO CUP tournament to Sunday 24th May 2026.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and continued support. All other tournament arrangements remain unchanged.

Yesterday’s FOTOTO Cup went exactly as planned and was a great success.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who played a role in making it happen.

Your commitment, discipline, and love for the game made the day memorable.
