Today, National Animal Genetic Resource Centre and Databank (NAGRC&DB) officially launched five key institutional documents: the Agency Client Charter, Service Delivery Standards, National Animal Breeding Strategy and Action Plan , Five-Year Strategic and Investment Plan, and Communication and Knowledge Management Strategy.
The Chief Guest, Hon. Rwamirama Bright K. (PhD), Minister of State for Animal Industry , officially launched the documents and called upon NAGRC&DB staff to fully implement the standards, strategies and commitments contained in them.
The Minister emphasized that the success of these documents will be measured by their implementation and the effective outcomes they deliver. He urged staff to ensure that the documents translate into improved service delivery, accountability and tangible benefits for farmers and other stakeholders.
The event also featured remarks from the NAGRC&DB Executive Director; the Chairperson of the NAGRC&DB Board of Directors; a representative of the Uganda National Farmers Federation; a representative from the Office of the Prime Minister, who delivered remarks on behalf of the Deputy, Head of Public Service; and a representative of the National Planning Authority.
The launch marks an important step in strengthening institutional performance, advancing coordinated animal breeding, improving service delivery, and enhancing communication and knowledge management at NAGRC&DB.
