Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board

Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board Welcome to the Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board Official page.

The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) is a statutory national assessment body established by an Act of Parliament and mandated to streamline, regulate, coordinate and conduct credible national examinations and award Certificates and Diplomas in the Business, Technical and Vocational professions in Uganda. UBTEB is headed by the Executive Secretary, who is the chief Executive

Head and the accounting officer of the Board. Under the Executive secretary, there are two Directorates of Human Resource, Finance & Administration and Examination

The Government sanctioned the operations of the Board in 2009, the Secretariat of the Board however started its operations in January 2011. UBTEB's establishment moves a notch higher government's effort to skill Ugandans through Competence Based Training and Education with the commitment to producing job makers rather than job seekers. The establishment of UBTEB is also an additional impetus to the implementation of the BVTET strategic plan 2011-2012, which denotes a paradigm shift for skills development in Uganda. The work of UBTEB is inimitable and highly specialized in its own way, and as such, it is handled by people committed by oath to the Board's core values of Confidentiality, Team work, Transparency, professionalism, Efficiency, Effectiveness and integrity.

"Looking ahead, how the Board wishes that draft TVET Qualifications Framework, is prioritized and operationalized by the TVET Council. The framework establishes clear competence levels, facilitates mobility, and promote lifelong learning. This framework will also unlock career advancement for our youth and enhance employer confidence."- Board Chairperson, Associate Prof. Dorothy Okello

BREAKING: While Others Make Noise, UNILAG Quietly Builds Cars Africa’s First University Auto Assembly Plant Shocks Critics❤️🇳🇬

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has stunned many by quietly positioning itself at the forefront of automotive innovation, unveiling Africa’s first university-based automobile assembly plant.

In partnership with Nord Automobiles, the Lagos-based facility has, since its inauguration on November 10, 2022, been assembling vehicles and drones, training students, and driving Nigeria’s entry into advanced automotive technology.

The UNILAG–Nord Auto Assembly Plant houses a research and development center, assembly line, showroom, and after-sales workshop. More than just a facility, it is a training ground where students gain hands-on experience while contributing to Nigeria’s industrial growth.

Unlike projects that thrive on endless propaganda, UNILAG has chosen the path of quiet delivery producing real results that speak louder than words.

This is a great news
