What is climate change?

While the answer may seem obvious to many, the definition of climate change can vary significantly depending on the source, especially in an era rife with misinformation.

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Some of these changes occur naturally due to factors like variations in solar activity or large volcanic eruptions. However, the evidence is overwhelming: since the 1800s, human activities have been the primary driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas.
