Mr. General Secretary,

I send you fraternal greetings from the Democratic Party and thank you for your kind invitation to the event today at the PLU Headquarters. I congratulate you for launching the PLU Website, the Patriotic Officers Identification Cards and the launch of the endorsements of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President.

I congratulate you upon these milestones which mark a significant turning point for the PLU as a prime mover in the affairs of the National Resistance Movement and the country. The evolution of the PLU has had many steps from the MK Movement, which embodied the outrage of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba over failures by the State to respond decisively to critical challenges facing our country, to the MK Army, which sought to respond to the violence and hooliganism of certain negative elements particularly at public gatherings and during elections, and now the PLU which has become a rallying point for citizens who want an effective government where politics does not get in the way of achieving results for the people.

As mentioned earlier in our phone conversation, I’m unable to join you at this event because I’m away in Gulu. I stand in solidarity with you and the PLU and as an elder I bless this occasion. I look forward to more discussions between our two organizations as we strive to work in solidarity to build a better and stronger Uganda.

Naguru today witnessed a significant gathering as thousands of PLU supporters, Central Committee members, Patriotic Officers, Ministers, Members of Parliament, Religious Leaders, and members of the business community came together for the PLU Digital Launch and the official launch of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba 2031 presidential bid.
The event brought together voices from diverse sectors of society, highlighting the importance of dialogue, unity, civic engagement and a shared commitment to Uganda’s future.
It was a moment of reflection, mobilisation and collective participation as the country continues to look ahead to 2031.

Hon. Amos Lugoloobi, Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic Development (Planning) and MP for Ntenjeru North, Kayunga, has joined the growing number of patriotic Ugandans endorsing Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the 2031 Presidency.
He was welcomed by our Director of Mobilization, Hon. Michael Mawanda, and received the endorsement book, which will now traverse Kayunga District to collect signatures from supporters.
The movement continues to gather momentum across the country, with the target of 20 million signatures firmly within sight.

Patriotic cadres at the Chairman’s Office in Nakasero have expressed their support and endorsed Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the 2031 Presidency.
The endorsement drive is underway, with a target of 20 million signatures by September 2027. This marks another step in the ongoing mobilisation and engagement process. Those wishing to participate are welcome to visit our offices and add their endorsement.
