Government Citizen Interaction Centre

Government Citizen Interaction Centre GCIC is a primary contact center to enhance monitoring of service delivery & provide a channel for feedback and suggestions from the citizens of Uganda

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of ICT under NITA (U) has established a primary contact centre for citizens to enhance the monitoring of service delivery and provide a channel for feedback and suggestions from citizens. This contact centre is called the Government Citizen Interaction Centre (GCIC). Citizens are constantly sharing their views about what they want and need, opinions on

service delivery standards from Government, what they like and dislike, and their overall expectation from Government. Listening to the people by Government yields better and effective delivery of services to citizens and creates more transparency and accountability. Timely, cost-effective and data driven communication between Government and Citizens is a critical aspect in service delivery, policy formulation, and citizen participation in governance. The centre serves as the primary contact for citizens to enhance the monitoring of service delivery and provide a channel for feedback and suggestions from citizens

After 6 years of impact the _Girls Empowering Girls Programme_ closes out this week.

It’s Uganda’s first urban social protection initiative for girls, and the results speak for themselves: more girls staying in school, starting businesses, and shaping their futures.
