AI can imagine a future. Education makes it possible.

A strong heart. Clear vision. Confidence. Leadership. Success. These aren’t qualities that technology can simply create, they’re nurtured through opportunity.

For 50 years, the European Union and Uganda have partnered to expand access to education, helping more girls stay in school, unlock their potential, and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Because empowering girls isn’t artificial, it’s real and its impact lasts for generations.

🇺🇬 Uganda has an estimated $6.8 billion in undeveloped mineral resources, but a shortage of skilled professionals is holding the sector back.

The European Union in Uganda and GIZ-Uganda are partnering with Makerere University to modernize the Geology Curricula, to equip graduates with the skills needed to drive Uganda's mining future. ⛏️🎓

By equipping the next generation of geoscientists with industry-relevant skills, this initiative is helping bridge the skills gap, create opportunities for young Ugandans, and strengthen a more competitive, sustainable mining sector.

That's why this partnership matters.
