2015 NBA playoffs: Finals schedule and results
The road to the Larry O'Brien Trophy and the 2015 NBA championship is down to the Finals.

After a slow start, the Cleveland Cavaliers put it together in the second half and moved through the playoffs with just a couple of losses, sweeping the 60-win top seeded Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference finals to get here. It's LeBron James' fifth consecutive trip to the Finals.

In the West, the Golden State Warriors steamrolled though the season, finished as the top seed, and were barely pushed in their run to the Finals. MVP Stephen Curry has been outstanding during the playoffs.

The best-of-seven series is shaping up to be a great one. All times p.m. Eastern. * — if necessary.

Young Thug Jabs at Lil Wayne Again, Says Next Mixtape Is Called ‘The Carter V

Still fresh from ribbing Lil Wayne with the title of his recent mixtape, Barter 6, Young Thug is already poking at the rapper in interviews again. Chatting with NDO Radio yesterday, Thugger said that he’d have another mixtape ready to go before his already-announced LP Hy!£UN35 and that he probably call it The Carter V because Lil Wayne’s album of the same name still has yet to be released. “I don’t know what the f**k they doin’,” he added, chuckling.

Given the tone of the chat as a whole, it certainly could have been a joke — he did eventually say he had a forthcoming line of clothing centered around Ho***rs t-shirts, after all. But if he did decide to go that route, you’d have to imagine that Lil Wayne wouldn’t like that too much (there is, of course, a reason that Young Thug didn’t call his recent tape Tha Carter 6). FIFA president Blatter likely to be re-elected despite corruption scandal

The incumbent president of international soccer's governing body was poised to be elected to a fifth term Friday despite a corruption scandal that exploded earlier this week after the arrests of seven high-ranking officials.

Sepp Blatter, 79, appeared to have the support of most of FIFA's 209 member soccer federations after asking them Thursday to entrust him with guiding the organization's recovery from the most serious crisis in its 111-year history.

Blatter has risen to the most powerful position in the world's most popular sport by courting the support of developing nations, particularly in Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Most of the 111 federations that make up those regions were expected to give their votes to Blatter.

However, more established soccer nations, including most of the European federations and the United States, have announced their intention to back Blatter's opponent, Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan.

Like baseball great Jackie Robinson he was a sporting pioneer. Except, unlike Robinson, his story is largely unknown.

When Albert Johanneson walked onto the pristine Wembley turf in the 1965 FA Cup final he became the first black player to ever appear at one of English football's showpiece events.

In the 84th edition of the FA Cup final, Johanneson's presence was seen as a watershed moment -- the man who left Apartheid South Africa to better himself and in turn became a pioneer.

On Saturday, at this season's final between Aston Villa and Arsenal, his life and contribution will be honored not only by English football -- but by those who carry him in their hearts.

"My husband says he puts my father and Jackie Robinson in the same league," Alicia, Johanneson's youngest daughter, told CNN, referring to the baseball star becoming the first African American to play Major League Baseball.

"My husband sees my father, like Jackie, as leaving an indelible mark on history by blazing a new trail in the sport of football for others to follow."
