UEGCL proudly participated in the 2026 Rotary Cancer Run, joining fellow Ugandans in raising awareness and supporting the fight against cancer.

Our Board Members, Ms. Grace SAFI and Ms. Safina NAGGAYI, joined the UEGCL team in running for this meaningful cause, honouring those affected by cancer and championing collective action towards healthier, stronger communities.

Karuma HPP Oversight Visit ⚡

The Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, chaired by Hon. Dan Kimosho, conducted an oversight visit to the 600 MW Karuma Hydropower Plant to assess the status of works, outstanding defects, energy dispatch, resettlement of Project Affected Persons, and Community Development Action Plans.

The Committee was received by the Minister of State for Energy, Hon. Sidronius Okaasai; UEGCL CEO, Dr. Eng. Harrison Mutikanga; and the UEGCL senior management team.

The visit included a guided tour of key facilities, followed by an engagement on the key issues arising from the mission.
