And that’s a wrap! 🙌

It has been great being part of the EU-Uganda Research and Study Fair today at Makerere University.

We spent the day meeting young people, answering questions and sharing more about the different opportunities available in skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.

Thank you to everyone who came by our stand, took part in the conversations and showed interest in what we do.

Today in Jinja, the Ag. Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Dr. John C. Muyingo, visited St. Stephen’s Secondary School in Budondo and Kakira Vocational Training Institute to witness investments in education and skills development.

At St Stephen’s, the Minister commissioned newly completed eco-prefabricated classrooms and staff houses and laid a foundation stone for construction and renovation works at four secondary schools.

At Kakira Vocational Training Institute, he commissioned a motorised solar water system and laid the foundation stone for an Agriculture Laboratory, investments that will strengthen the institute’s capacity to provide practical training.

The visit highlighted the wider partnership between the Ministry of Education and Sports Uganda and Enabel to improve learning environments, strengthen teachers and learners, enhance vocational training and create pathways from skills to employment for young people.

This Wednesday, as we continue celebrating , we spotlight the Continuous Professional Development courses equipping teachers with practical, classroom-ready skills for today's learning environment.

More than 4,000 teachers are gaining new skills to create more inclusive and engaging classrooms, strengthen how they assess learners, use technology effectively and respond to the changing needs of their students.

With funding from the European Union 🇪🇺 and the Kingdom of Belgium 🇧🇪, we are investing in teachers as agents of change, contributing to stronger, more resilient education systems.

Every girl deserves to learn with dignity.

Together with Reach A Hand Africa, we are bringing 300+ students from 20 schools in Kasese district to participate in the "It's Brave Girls: Undo the Taboo" Festival as part of the world menstrual hygiene celebrations.

Over the past 2 years, our efforts across the regions have:

✅ Sensitised more than 45,000 adolescents on menstrual health and hygiene
✅ Provided close to 35,000 girls with sanitary pads
✅ Reached nearly 30,000 secondary school girls and about 5,000 girls in communities

These numbers represent girls attending class with confidence, speaking openly about menstrual health and accessing the support they need to thrive.

As we continue to challenge harmful myths and break the silence surrounding menstruation, we invite you to be part of the conversation.
