TUESDAY TAKE HOME MESSAGE

How does COVID-19 spread?
 A person can catch COVID-19 from another person who has the virus.
 When a person who has the virus coughs or breathes out, he or she releases small droplets from the nose or mouth.
 People near the infected person who is sneezing or coughing will then breathe in these droplets and the virus will enter their respiratory track through the nose.
DO: Stay more than 1 meter (3 feet) away from a person who is sick or showing signs and symptoms of Covid-19.
 The droplets from the infected person can also land on objects and surfaces around the person. When these objects and surfaces are not decontaminated, other people will touch these objects or surfaces with their hands.
 Their hands will become contaminated with the virus which are still active on these objects or surfaces. The virus will then enter a person through touching their eyes, nose or mouth with the contaminated hand.
DO: Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap for 20 seconds or use alcohol based sanitizers if you can afford.
