Welcome to this platform that seeks to work around and get Busoga away from the *poverty status * that has been rubber stamped on it. It's indeed startling to imagine that according to the most recent research, Busoga is second to Karamoja region in terms f poverty levels.
We can not stomach the fact that according to that particular research, the once rebel hit northern Uganda ie The Achioli land is ranked ahead of Busoga region, which region has had peace all through since independence. These and many more worrying scenarios need to be written afresh so that Busoga ranks better in Uganda.
The mission.
To see that Busoga retains its social status with which it was associated before the early 90s, build a strong economic base while maintaining sanity and respect, belief and acceptance in the Kyabazingaship.
The vision
To create a people centred problem soloving ability among the Basoga and other peoples living in the region to spur people centred development.
Objectives
1. Create a viable Busoga diaspora team tasked to identify less costly economic activities that can be copied and pasted in our society to create income.
Also, this team will be tasked to identify markets abroad for commoodities as produced by the people here, such as potatoes, jackfruits etc.
Share this information, and fodge a way forwad to implement such activities.
2. Indulge with the kingdom leadership in curving out economic programs that are driven to create not only employment but also business activities that create viable income to the people, while making the kingdom relevant to the people.
The aim
Build a relevant Kingdom that works to revamp the economic fortunes of the region through working with the young enterprising people to cause enviable local and foreign investments.
