H.E. Dr Wilber Ottichilo - Governor Vihiga County on a tour of Maseno Water Project to assess progress. The project which is 90% complete will supply water to Luanda and Emuhaya Sub counties.

Mwitoko Fish Hatchery and Aquaculture Training Centre in Wemilabi Ward, Luanda Sub County is the hub of fingerling propagation in the Lake Region Economic Bloc.

A flagship project by the County Government of Vihiga, Mwitoko produces over one million fingerlings annually for fish farmers. The farm has 31 ponds with Tilapia and Catfish varieties.

The project has immensely redefined agribusiness in Vihiga and the entire lake region.

GOVERNOR'S SCHOLARSHIP- FIRST PHASE
Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world.
The first phase of the Governor's Scholarship saw more than 100 bright and needy students benefit from the program.

Students under the program had their school fees fully paid and personal effects catered for.

Vihiga county now boasts of 32 slice and 64 slice CT scan machines domiciled at the County Referral Hospital. These machines have gone a long mile in improving diagnostic services to the residents.
