A two day's consultative meeting on Developing and reviewing/validating the District Education Bill, Gender Based Violence(GBV), Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Bill on going in the District People's Hall. The stakeholders involved are the District Councilor, the Heads of departments, Religious leaders, the Cultural leaders and the media.

Mr. Ameko Jimmy Wale, the Senior Probation Officer took the participants through what an Ordinance and by laws mean, guiding principles of ordinances and by laws and the process of developing and validating of a Bill which include among others
1. Appointment of the law Committee by the District Council composing of 7 member; The CAO as the Chairperson, the Clerk to Council as the Secretary, a legal of Officer, Community Based Services and three Co-opted members.

Moyo District technical staff, political team, private sector and the implementing partners as a team in a 2 days Planning and Budget Conference for FY 2020/2021. The purpose of the conference is to share achievements, challenges and constraints I. The implementation of the previous year budget. It also provides space for reflecting on emerging issues and strategizing for the coming year. The planning is very participatory and also bottom up approach.

THE PEOPLE'S PARLIAMENT happening in Moyo District today.
Post world Contraception Day Youth dialogue. Today Ministry of Health are in Moyo District for a youth dialogue, under the theme:" LET US ROLL THE TEENAGE PREGNANCY CRISIS IN UGANDA" Our main speaker is the Hon. Moriku Joyce Kaducu, the State Minister for Primary Health and Woman Member of Parliament for Moyo District. Let us join hand to protect our girls from teenage pregnancies. Together we can do this.

Update from the DHO Moyo is that 3 samples that were taken last Saturday all turn up negative for our 2 suspect ( gentle man in Meria in otce and a lady in Lowi Quarter in MTC) and the self quarratine lady of Metu.

Together, let's join hands and kick the virus. Stay home, wash your hands with clean running water every 20 seconds

As the District tries it's best to handle and curb the Covid19- pandemic, the community of Pamoti and Pamoju are resisting the establishment of Covid19- isolation center at the DFI, a government facility that was earmarked for isolation of the suspected cases of Covid19.

The community has even gone ahead to burn down one of the buildings at the DFI. This is really frustrating.

The suspected cases will not only fear for their lives but will feel stigmatized. This is going to make it so hard for those who would have come forth for observation to stay back and hence becoming a threat to the community just because the community is looking at them as a plague.

The community needs to be fully sensitised on the pandemic Covid19.
They should know that if they take the necessary precautions of washing hands constantly with running water and soap, sanitize their hands all the time and avoid crowded places,then together we can fight this pandemic.

How are we going to help each other and the community when there is such hooliganism?

Let's help each other to fight this virus and in no time we shall live a normal life.

Covid19- Corona virus awareness task force team, led by the Deputy RDC Moyo rounding up most public centers around the town council for instance bus terminals, offices, taxi park, markets and other places. The team is sensitizing the public on the dangers of the deadly virus known as covid19-.

Corona virus originated from China and spreading world over.

Plis avoid hand shaking, hagging and always wash your hands with clean running water and soap. Avoid public gatherings and be on a look out for any symptoms related to Corona such as flu and cough. Let's spread this message, let us let our school going children know about this deadly virus. Remember the virus still has no cure but together we can kick Corona out. YES WE CAN.

Annual General meeting for the greater North Urban Council Speaker's Association held in Moyo District. The Association comprises of Speakers, Deputy Speakers and Clerk to Councils of Lango,Acholi, Westnile and Karamoja sub regions. It's a two days meeting where on day one (29th October), there was tree planting around Moyo Town Council and also visiting of a model farmer in Afoji District.

Moyo District Local Government budget conference 2020/2021 Fy- taking place in Moyo people's Hall, on 30th - 31st of October

The theme for the 2020/2021 fy budget is " industrialization for job creation shared prosperity"
The following is to be discussed
1. Budget strategy and priority intervention areas in 2020/2021 fy, which priorities are agriculture, mineral beneficiation, tourism development, scientific research and innovation
2. Budget Envelop for 2020/2021fy to be financed using a mixed domestic revenue grants and borrowing.
That the over all resource envelop has reduced as compared to 2019/20 fy due to reduction of external financing.
3. The government is emphasising mainstreaming and financing for cross cutting issues in 2020/21fy. Which issues are; Gender and equity budgeting, HIV, Malaria, Environment climate and sanitation, population issues and nutrition. This is in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
4. Policy and Administrative reforms/ guidelines: the creation of new administrative units.
Conclusively, all local governments are required to adhere to the guidelines stipulated in the BCC, the budget strategy as well as the budget process calender in line with the PFM Act 2015 as they prepare the BFP( Budget Framework Paper) & preliminary estimate for 2020/21FY
