A team from the Office of the President – Economic Monitoring Unit, led by the Assistant Commissioner, conducted a monitoring visit to assess the implementation progress of the Mpigi–Muduuma Road project against the planned schedule and discuss challenges affecting its progress. The team first held a meeting with the client team led by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), District Planner and other district officials, after which the Contract Management Team, led by the District Engineer, guided them to the contractor’s campsite and later to the project site for field inspection.

The district team present included the District Engineer, Chief Finance Officer, Senior Environment Officer, District Community Development Officer, and Focal Person . The monitoring team also interacted with the contractor, Zhongmei Engineering Group, represented by Contract Manager Eng. Yuan, Assistant Resident Engineer Eng. Brenda, and representatives from JBN and QL

The Independent Verification Agency (IVA) team, in collaboration with KPMG East Africa, has conducted the third annual performance assessment exercise in Mpigi under the GKMA-UDP. This assessment will play a critical role in determining the budget allocation for the financial year 2026/2027.
