With mixed emotions, we bid farewell to our PAs; Rannie Ashaba, Haley Drost, and Noelani Stahl.

It has been an honor to walk this journey with you through all the ups and downs. As USP, we honor the dedication and heart you’ve poured into your work during your time here.

We know you will do great in this next season, and we pray for you as you continue to serve others. Once a PA, always a PA, USP and Uganda will always be your home.

That’s a wrap on Spring 2026! We finished the semester with a time of debriefing and discussing re-entry to students’ home contexts. And now, after a fun day with UCU friends, students are on their way home. We are so grateful for this semester!

On Wednesday, we visited Amani Uganda, an organisation that trains formerly abducted women and their children tailoring skills to make a living. We later visited The Recreation Project (TRP), an organisation that uses outdoor adventure and experiential education to build life skills, character, and resilience in children and youth.
On Thursday, we made our last visit to Youth Leaders for Restoration and Development (YOLRED), a platform for former child soldiers and other victims to support each other in creating meaningful, productive lives within the community!
To conclude our educative study trip in Gulu, we spent the afternoon together to learn and share our experiences from these grass-root community organizations.
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from you.

Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting yet another special farewell dinner in honor of our incredible Spring 2026 semester students.

This gathering was graced by our Guest of Honor, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs whose inspiring words added significance to the event.

The dinner brought together not only the students but also their roommates, Mukono and Kapchorwa host families, internship supervisors, lecturers, USP staff, and members of the UCU community. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the friendships made, the challenges overcome, and the cultural learning from the last few months.

As we bid farewell to this group of students, we pray for continued success as they carry their experiences beyond UCU’s campus to their different callings and professions in life.
