EquaLight

EquaLight Equalight is a christian nonprofit organization located in Kisoro District, Southwestern Uganda.

The organization is dedicated to the belief that every child, particularly vulnerable ones, deserves access to basic necessities, education and shelter.

Am început anul școlar cu un total de 90 de copii și tineri în cadrul proiectului „Școală”.

Dintre aceștia, 6 copii sunt la grădiniță (cel mai mic are 3 ani ♡), 50 de elevi învață în ciclul primar și gimnazial, iar 28 de tineri sunt la liceu.
Alți 5 tineri urmează cursuri postliceale, în domenii precum asistență medicală, educator/învățător și managementul turismului și al ospitalității.
De asemenea, un tânăr studiază construcțiile în cadrul unei școli de meserii.

We are so grateful for all our P7 graduates who did very well in the national exam! We are proud of them, but first of all, thankful to God for the wisdom He gave them, and then to the sponsors who helped them reach this level. We cannot forget about the school teachers who prepared them so well.
We are getting ready for secondary school! Today we already bought the uniforms.

Samuel, Claire, Shallot, Sayuni, David, Angel, Jeremia - keep going!

P.S. We celebrated together, just a little, but with so much joy!

“Don’t give a man a fish; teach him how to fish.”

Shivan and Claire are an encouragement to us, a reminder that the work and help we offer are not in vain.

After a year of study and practice at the African College of Commerce and Technology, and another six months of practice in a salon, Shivan and Claire now have their own salon in Rubuguri, where they work with joy. (Even though I'm not a fan of this type of name, I let them choose it, and in fact, the name reflects reality.)

And yesterday… yesterday was the day we saw them graduate. What an encouragement!
