Join us in congratulating Danielle Duff, a C5ISR Center senior engineer, who is the recipient of the 2021 Team Aberdeen Proving Ground “Outstanding Woman of the Year,” an honor sponsored by the Federal Women’s Program.

In her role as a senior #engineer, Danielle leads by example, supporting everyone from government interns to seasoned professionals, to develop their ideas into fund-able projects and programs. She has been a mentor for numerous women seeking pathways for promotion, providing math tutoring, creating networking opportunities, and helping women with the job application process. Danielle has also provided support to female veterans as they transition to civilian roles.

As a senior engineer in a highly technical field, Danielle creates learning opportunities for junior engineers in the Division. In addition to authoring dozens of technical briefings and white papers every year, she helps find writing opportunities for women and young engineers, often taking no personal credit.

Danielle is also a mentor for youths interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (#STEM) careers, having served as a virtual judge for the Monmouth Junior Sciences Symposium and the Army eCYBERMISSION as well as supporting past STEM Summer Camps.

Danielle’s award is a reflection of her activism, volunteerism, and professionalism both within the C5ISR Center and the greater Aberdeen community.

We had a great time engaging with #ArmyPartners and #industry during last week's technical demos for various Capability Set 25 (CS25) technology areas!

DID YOU KNOW?

Last week, the Product Manager Capability Set Development (PdM CSD) team, in conjunction with US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command C5ISR Center, U.S. Army Contracting Command and Network Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT), engaged 19 different industry partners to conduct “shark tank” technical demonstrations for various Capability Set 25 (CS25) technology areas including C4ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) Radio Technologies, SATCOM modernization and Predicted Combat Power Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML).

These demos were a result of the white paper process following the service’s sixth technical exchange meeting (TEM 6), held earlier this year, during which the U.S. Army outlined CS25 development efforts. CS25 will build upon CS21 and 23, but will focus on automation, network protection, and enabling Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) with data management and integration of commercial network transport capability.

Even as the CSD team was preparing for TEM 5 awards, these TEM 6 demos were conducted to prepare for early FY22 awards and get after N-CFT modernization goals. Way to go team!

How the Army is getting ready for the next Project Convergence tests - FedScoop

Project Convergence, the Army’s contribution to Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2), is going to get its second major test this November. But before then, it needs to stress-test its tactical network to see if it’s ready to try and achieve interoperability with other services.

Learn how the Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) is helping modernize the Army’s tactical network through virtual testing.
