We at the Aberdeen Fire Rescue, are proud to announce that, in conjunction with Aberdeen Firefighters Local 446 and Northern State University, we will be hosting our First Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

The day will begin with a Memorial Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. at the West Entrance of Dakotah Bank Stadium. The ceremony will include remarks from the Northern State University President, the Mayor of Aberdeen, and the Aberdeen Fire Rescue Chief.

Please join us as we commemorate the events of September 11, 2001; remember those we lost; honor the first responders who answered the call; and take time for reflection. The ceremony will also include Taps, bagpipes, and a time of remembrance.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., we will begin the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Participants will climb 2,200 steps, symbolizing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers and honoring the climb made by firefighters and other first responders on September 11, 2001.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., CAB will also be hosting its annual student blood drive in remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001.
We invite everyone in our community to join us for this meaningful day of remembrance, reflection, and service.
